RevUp Women Initiative: Empowering Women Entrepreneurs Across Africa
Across Africa, women-led businesses face a unique set of challenges. Limited access to funding, lack of mentorship, and systemic gender biases often hinders their ability to scale and sustain their businesses. Despite their potential to drive economic growth and innovation, many women entrepreneurs struggle to survive beyond the critical early years of business development. Recognizing these challenges, AfriLabs, launched the RevUp Women Initiative to empower women-led enterprises and build a robust support system for female entrepreneurs across the continent.
The RevUp Women Initiative was designed as a transformative program to support 50,000 women-led businesses across Africa. The initiative’s key pillars include:
■ Capacity Development: Providing business training through innovation and technology hubs. ■ Mentorship: Connecting women entrepreneurs with experienced female business leaders across Africa. ■ Access to Funding: Facilitating connections with angel investors and other funding opportunities to enhance business sustainability.
