Real Stories of Impact: Women Entrepreneurs Driving Change Njeri’s AgriTech Innovation (Kenya) founded an AgriTech startup focused on providing precision farming solutions to smallholder farmers. Before joining the RevUp Women Initiative, she struggled with business model refinement and access to investors. Through the program’s training and mentorship, she improved her go-to-market strategy and secured a partnership with a local agricultural cooperative, expanding her customer base. With the $10,000 grant, she invested in scaling her technology, increasing farmers’ productivity while enhancing food security in her community. Aisha’s Sustainable Fashion Enterprise (Nigeria) fashion brand in Lagos, producing eco-friendly clothing from recycled materials. Despite her innovative approach, she lacked the capital to expand her business. Through RevUp Women, she was able to access mentorship from established female entrepreneurs who guided her in strengthening her supply chain and refining her business strategy. With her newfound knowledge, Aisha successfully pitched her business to an angel investor, securing funding that allowed her to increase production and create five new jobs within her community. Fatima’s Renewable Energy Startup (Cameroon) Fatima’s startup focuses providing affordable and sustainable solar solutions for rural communities in Cameroon. Limited funding and lack of technical expertise had slowed her progress. Through the RevUp Women Initiative, she participated in intensive business model training, which helped her streamline her operations and position her company for investment. The mentorship she received gave her the confidence to apply for a government grant, which she won, enabling her to expand her reach to three additional rural communities, bringing electricity to over 500 households.
