Accelerating Innovation and Anchoring Resilience Through Co…

Focus Group Discussions (RFGDs), the department connected with 92 hubs from 27 African countries, allowing members to voice their priorities and challenges. These discussions informed key interventions in areas such as networking, investment readiness, and francophone capacity building, shaping tailored programs and partnership opportunities that addressed real needs within the community. Capacity-building remained at the heart of member engagement, with a series of webinars and workshops delivered in collaboration with Silicon Valley in Your Pocket (SViYP), Catalyst2030, Afara Initiative, Africa Creative Alliance, UNDP Timbuktoo hubs (Nigeria & Kenya), C’Inolu x Ukamili Digital City, WIPO, and GAIN. These sessions covered seed funding strategies, ESG principles, relationship-building, creative economy opportunities, and digital transformation, with a special focus on francophone Africa. Over 1,000 participants from 50 African and 18 diaspora countries engaged in these programs, demonstrating the broad appeal and impact of AfriLabs’ initiatives. Global Networking and Strategic Delegations AfriLabs provided members with unparalleled opportunities to participate in global technology and innovation events through strategic delegation trips. In 2024, 94 delegates from 12 African and 9 diaspora countries attended prestigious global events, including VivaTech, GITEX, LEAP, SPOTLight x BPI France, Global Immersive Week, and Web Summit. These events provided member hubs with access to high-level networking, potential investors, and new market opportunities, ultimately increasing AfriLabs’ visibility and influence on the global stage. Enhancing Participation in AfriLabs’ Flagship Event In preparation for the 2024 AfriLabs Annual Gathering, the Member Services Department actively encouraged member participation through information sessions and themed webinars. Hubs were engaged as content co-creators, contributing to discussions alongside expert speakers. This approach resulted in a stronger turnout and deeper engagement, setting the stage for an even more impactful gathering in 2025. Expanding the AfriLabs Network AfriLabs’ growth strategy was structured into three admission phases—Q1, Q2, and Q3—ensuring a seamless integration of new members. Throughout the year:
