AfriLabs Capacity Building Programme (ACBP)
The AfriLabs Capacity Building Programme (ACBP) has been a cornerstone of AfriLabs’ mission to empower innovation hubs and strengthen the African startup ecosystem. Through targeted capacity building efforts, the program aims to equip innovation hubs across the continent with the necessary tools, knowledge, and resources to support startups more effectively and create an enabling environment for entrepreneurship. In 2024, the ACBP successfully reached numerous innovation hubs in diverse regions, providing a range of capacity building activities that included training, mentorship, and knowledge-sharing sessions. This initiative was designed to enhance the operational capacity of innovation hubs, focusing on critical areas such as business development, strategic planning, financial management, and program implementation. The programme also prioritized strengthening the ability of hubs to support startups in emerging sectors such as tech, agribusiness, and social impact.
