RevUp Women Initiative Business Showcase To commemorate Women’s Month 2024, AfriLabs hosted the RevUp Women Initiative Business Showcase, themed “Investing in Women, Inspiring Futures.” Held on March 22, 2024, in Lagos, Nigeria, this event—organized in partnership with the Visa Foundation—brought together stakeholders committed to empowering women entrepreneurs. The event celebrated ten outstanding female entrepreneurs from Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Cameroon, and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), selected for their exceptional performance in an intensive business development program. Each of these entrepreneurs received a $10,000 grant from the Visa Foundation, supporting their business growth and long-term success.
This initiative reaffirms AfriLabs’ commitment to economic inclusion, gender equity, and innovation-driven business development across Africa.
Webinar: Navigating the Entrepreneurial Journey In partnership with Amrita University, India, AfriLabs hosted an entrepreneurship-focused webinar on April 5, 2024, designed to provide critical insights into the realities of building and sustaining a startup. Featuring the founders of Rise Vest and The Startup Architect, the webinar explored strategies for overcoming challenges, lessons from setbacks, and the keys to long-term business growth. By offering a blend of real-world entrepreneurial experiences and strategic insights, this webinar provided African entrepreneurs with the knowledge and tools to thrive in competitive markets.
