The first Russian sports car MARUSSIA was engineered on

the basis of a new special chassis, created by Russian en-

gineers. It is a fast sports car with wonderful aerodynamic


The main requirement for the production is the use of the

high-tech materials and components. Ideologists of the

project Nikolay Fomenko and Yefim Ostrovsky believe that

innovations and reliability are the key factors of the pro-

duction under MARUSSIA trademark. Among the main car

characteristics one can see a unique design of the vehicle

exterior, which can be chosen in person; high operating

performance; comfortable city driving.

Uniqueness of the concept is that of several completely differ-

ent in design and color vehicle bodies can fit sole chassis. To-

gether with the outside appearance, the interior design may be

changed also to match colour and shape of the body. Finally,

in spite of all changes the character and driving facilities of the

car will remain unchanged. So, off-the-shelf product becomes

an exclusive car, which has no analogues in the world.


The first automobile Marussia is equipped with a 3.5 litre petrol engine providing 240bhp. Along with several

kinds of outside appearance, the expansion of production range and creation of vehicles of other classes is

planned: in particular, more popular among customers, five seats four-wheel drive SUV. A racing version of the

car, which is being developed now, will be engineered with respect to contemporary auto racing technologies.

At present MARUSSIA is a mid-engined vehicle, but the working on a front- and rear-engined versions of chassis

has been already started.




The interior of the MARUSSIA vehicle is a product of Italian and

Russian designers’ teamwork. The interior of the car is a harmoni-

ous extension to the swift beauty and completeness of the car’s ex-

terior, being a perfect match to the colour and shape of the body.

The interior decorations have been chosen carefully according to

the principles of ecological compatibility and comfort to satisfy

the requirements of the most sophisticated customers.

The main part of the interior is made of expensive durable

material — leather, that goes together with the modern and

Wheelsandmore, German individual tuner for sports- and supersportscars, has revealed their custom modifications on

the Bentley Continental Supersports.

With serial power about 630 hp the Bentley Continental Supersports already is the most powerful and fastest sportscoupe

ever built by Bentley. But Wheelsandmore thought of much more and developed an ecu upgrade, combined with a

handmade, stainless steel exhaust system. With special sportcatalysts, the ecu upgrade and within a remote controlled

valve flap system, they increased the power up to 702 bhp and 650 lb-ft of torque.


As the Bentley Supersports is not only coming with the biggest engine, but also with one of the biggest carbon-

ceramic brakes, measuring 16.54 inches, Wheelsandmore got to use all their experience and know how to

construct special wheels for perfect handling and outstanding visual appearance. The 3-piece lightweight wheel

set is outfitted with „C-Sport“ model sizing 10,5x21“ with Dunlop Sport Maxx tyres front and rear, wearing an

enormous 4,5“ outisde lip in the rear. A special tyre approval allows a giant highspeed at 209 mph. In this case

the wheels are painted completely matte black with a red racestripe, but wheelsandmore is able to offer unlimited

color and surface combinations.



Finally the suspension can be switched up and down by using an electronic lowering module from Wheelsand-

more called „LowMaXX“, which lifts up the car automatically around 0.79 inches at a speed of 44 mph to recover

comfort and safety.

The Ferrari F430 Scuderia’s mission statement is clear: To bring the racecar experience to the streets, legally. This

mantra is evident inside-out from the car’s aluminum monocoque core all the way to the smallest details like the

titanium springs and exhaust system that help to shave weight compared to the stock F430. No compromises were

made in making the F430 Scuderia, Ferrari’s fastest road-going car ever.


From the deletion of carpet and sound deadening to the use of lightweight Lexan instead of glass for the rear

engine cover, everything in the racer’s bag of tricks was thrown at the Scuderia. In case you were wondering,

Scuderia literally means “stable of horses” in Italian and in the case of this special edition F430, that stable is

510 ponies strong. By decreasing weight, lowering the car’s center of gravity and increasing power, Ferrari’s

engineers achieved the perfect balance of acceleration, handling and braking for the track, while allowing the

car to remain just civilized enough for the road.

So you’d have to be a masochist to employ this punishing racer as your daily driver, right? And only an absolute

maniac would think that he could improve upon the Scuderia’s looks, sound and performance right? Maybe not…

com knows a thing or ten about making the world’s finest cars even better. Diko is notorious for his rotating stable

of rides that at any one time includes a couple Rolls Royces, Ferraris, Lamborghinis and Bentleys in addition to 4

or 5 Mercedes vehicles.


With a warehouse full of the finest wheels known to man, you can be sure that all of Diko’s whips are sitting pretty,

and as you can see, his Scuderia is no exception. Modifying a vehicle as finely tuned as the Scuderia can be disas-

trous if you don’t know what you’re doing, but Diko and his team of designers and engineers expertly crafted new

shoes for the Scud. When combined with sticky Pirelli Tires the 20” wheels increase the car’s grip while weighing no

more than the car’s stock 19s. Typically Diko outfits each of his cars with 2 different styles of wheels in order to stunt

twice as hard. In this case, the driver’s side is laced with a pair of GFG Scudetrias, so named because the wheels

are a three-piece forged replica of the factory Scuderia wheels. The Scudetrias are custom painted to match the

anthracite accents in the car’s front splitter and air intakes for an almost factory appearance. On the passenger side

are new for 2010 GFG Messinas with color-matched black centers and chrome outer lips. Both styles are wrapped

in Pirelli Pzeros, 235/30-20 front and 345/25-20 rear, providing a huge rear footprint. It’s important to note that

with their extensive hands-on experience with Ferrari vehicles, GFG engineers all their Ferrari wheels to accept all

factory locating pins and rotor weights to ensure there is no compromise in performance or reliability.


With the exterior of his Scud to his liking, Diko turned to his friends at Al & Ed’s Autosound in West Hollywood,

Ca. to upgrade the car’s only other shortcoming…the audio system. With a couple dozen F430s under their

belt, the a/v wizards at AE 54 were extremely familiar with the platform, but quickly learned that the Scuderia is

a different beast altogether.

With an interior stripped of all carpeting and insulation and door panels made exclusively of carbon fiber, they’re

options for speaker and wiring locations were extremely limited and Diko’s only requirement for the install was

that there be no cutting of the car, so that at any time, it could be returned to stock.

This front trunk is, without a doubt, the pièce de résistance of Al and Ed’s entire build. The amp enclosure is im-

maculately handcrafted and tailored in Ferrari leather and black carbon fiber, matching the interior materials.

The most dramatic and creative element of the install is the floating center section sculpted out of Plexiglas and

beautiful red-weave carbon fiber to mimic the red Scuderia stripes on the car’s exterior. This standout feature is

beautifully constructed and serves as testament to the creative vision and quality craftsmanship of the team at Al

& Ed’s Autosound West Hollywood.

While many Ferrari enthusiasts would protest the modification of a vehicle as rare and capable as the Scuderia,

many of them would also be content to store their Scuderia in a vacuum-sealed vault and stare at for decades, but

that would be doing a car like this an even greater injustice. These cars were built to be driven and enjoyed so

why not change up a few things to make them even more enjoyable? That’s Diko’s philosophy and with results like

It does not take inspiration only from the 90 year collaboration between the two brands, neither only from the

Milanese conjunction between Alfa Romeo and Zagato. The TZ3 Corsa is a race car, honoring 100 years of races

and victories across the whole 20th century.

It celebrates men and machines of the Alfa Romeo Zagato common tradition: Scuderia Ferrari of the 20’s and 30’s,

Alfa Corse of the 40’s and 50’s, Autodelta of the 60’s and 70’s up to the latest Scuderia Zagato of the 80’s and 90’s.

Recalling these racing emotions, the TZ3 Corsa is based on a mono shell carbon fibre tubular chassis, coupled

with a tubular frame and a lightweight aluminium body. It boasts Technical Partners such as OMP and Pirelli.


Following Zagato’s gentlemen-driver heritage, the car has been commissioned by the Alfa Romeo Zagato collec-

tor Martin Kapp, during the Zandvoort Tribute to Zagato event, where more than 130 Alfa Romeo Zagatos were

celebrating the 90th Anniversary of the brand.

Alfa Romeo and Zagato achieved the best results since the beginnings thanks to the Mille Miglia victories of the

1500 6C, the 1750 GS and the 8C 2300 Zagato of the Scuderia Ferrari. Already in 1933 an official advert of

the Alfa Romeo 8C proclaimed: “The Spider that, with the trio Alfa Romeo - Scuderia Ferrari - Carrozzeria Zagato,

brought countless victories in the homeland and abroad for the honour of Italy.”


Even the grandiose Quadrifoglio Verde was placed on the bodies of Zagatos of the Alfa Corse team numerous

times. Among the most glorious moments is the victory of the Formula 1 championship of Juan Manuel Fangio,

aboard his Alfa Romeo 159 bodied by Zagato, as well as the victorious Alfa Romeo 3000 CM bodied in 3

samples by Zagato.

During the 60’s, the list of absolute victories of the Giulia TZ and TZ2 by Zagato for the Autodelta of Ing. Carlo

Chiti, was never-ending. Some of the most memorable victories included the 1964 12 hours of Sebring, the Targa

Florio, the Nurburgring, and the 24 hours of Le Mans.


The single-brand Alfa Romeo S.Z. championship emphasized the Alfa Romeo ES30’s (Experimental SportsCar 3000)

technical and dynamic abilities. The S.Z. delivered, and continues to so today, constant performance and driving

pleasure to the Gentlemen drivers of the Alfa Zagato team, across the most important racetracks in Europe. •




Lexus announced today it will offer a limited edition Nürburgring Package to LFA customers. “This Nürburgring Package

builds on the track-ready Lexus supercar with styling cues from the 24 Hours of Nürburgring prototype LFA racecar,”

said Mark Templin, Lexus Division group vice president and general manager. “Driving enthusiasts will also appreciate

the Nürburgring Package’s performance enhancements that were proven on the legendary German track.”


The 4.8L V10 engine for Nürburgring Package equipped LFA’s will produce 562 horsepower, 10 more horse-

power than the standard high-performance LFA. The gear-shift time has been reduced by 0.05 seconds to only

0.15 seconds for even faster gear changes.


The Nürburgring Package is limited to only 50 units out of the 500 LFA hand-assembled for global distribution. It

will also have the following features:

• A sport-tuned suspension, exclusive black mesh-type wheels and dedicated high-grip tires for better handling

• A larger front spoiler and fixed rear wing for improved high speed down force

This limited edition LFA will be available in four exterior colors – whitest white, orange, black and matte black

complemented by a choice of three interior colors – black, red, and violet. All come with a carbon fiber center

console and door trim. The Nürburgring Package will carry a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of

$70,000. Matte black will carry an additional cost of $20,000. The standard LFA carries a MSRP of $375,000.


In addition to the Nürburgring vehicle specifications, a package of special privileges is included in association

with the Nürburgring course itself. The perks comprise, but are not limited to, private parking, co-pilot ride, one

Ferrari has released the first photos and information on the new 599 GTO, an extreme V12 berlinetta developed

to a specific performance-oriented brief. The 599 GTO is, in fact, the company’s fastest ever road car. It is an

exclusive limited edition special which, in true Ferrari tradition, is a completely new concept, albeit inspired by

a production car. In fact the 599 GTO is based on the 599XX, the advanced experimental track car, and can be

considered almost a road-going version.

The 599 GTO is reserved for just 599 clients who seek the maximum expression of high-performance driving.

The 599 GTO benefits directly from the technological transfer from racing and set a record lap time at Fiorano in


The Fiorano lap time provides just one indication of the potential of this car. Just as significant are the technical

specifications – 670 hp in a 1495kg car represents a weight-to-power ratio of just 2.23 kg/hp, and ensures a

0-100 km/h acceleration time of just 3.35” as well as a top speed of over 335 km/h.


Fundamental to the GTO’s performance is the innovative approach to chassis development which, for the first time

on a production car, saw the integration between a handling set-up tuned for a level of responsiveness that is close

to the limit and highly sophisticated electronic controls. The result is the almost complete absence of understeer

and a truly communicative chassis.

As is Ferrari’s policy, every new Ferrari features new solutions for a road car. Thus the 599 GTO is equipped with

the latest, second-generation carbon-ceramic brakes which are lighter and offer better performance, new aerody-

namic innovations, such as the wheel doughnuts which increase aerodynamic efficiency as well as improve brake

cooling, and the Supersport tyres developed by Michelin include a wider front tyre for greater roadholding. The

driver-car interface is also new with the adoption of the Virtual Race Engineer (VRE) which provides the driver with

instantaneous information on performance.


The 599 GTO’s more aggressive character is also apparent in a number of styling elements that recall the 599XX

and from the powerful sound of the V12. The GTO (Gran Turismo Omologata) moniker instantly calls to mind two

Ferraris that have entered the collective imagination as symbols of performance. After the 1962 250 GTO, which

swept the boards in GT racing categories in the 1960s and is now a highly prized collector’s car, came the iconic

1984 GTO, which basically invented the entire modern supercar genre.

The web special includes photos, videos and interviews on the new car, while an exclusive preview for a small

number of Ferrari clients will be held on April 14th at the Military Academy in Modena. The public debut of the

599 GTO will instead be at the Beijing International Motor Show at the end of April.

The 599 GTO’s engine is directly derived from the 599XX unit implementing,

however, the necessary modifications for road-going homologation. It thus

complies with Euro 5 and LEV 2 standards. The 5999 cc 65-degree V12

engine punches out 670 CV at 8250 rpm with maximum torque of 620 Nm

at 6500 rpm and there is a smooth, constant rush of power all the way to the

redline with no loss of flexibility even at medium and low revs. This result was

obtained by working on the fluid-dynamics and components to reduce inter-

nal friction and by adopting, amongst other things, the 599XX’s redesigned

crankshaft. The car also has a racing-type intake system with a new manifold

with diffuser-type intake geometry and short inlet tracts designed to improve

power delivery at high revs and reduce losses.


To maximise volumetric efficiency per cylinder, a connection between the two plenums at the front compensates

for variations in the volume. This is how the engineers managed to achieve maximum performance at high engine

speeds. The engine sound inside the car is carefully controlled to balance the intake sound with the exhaust, which

features a 599XX-derived 6-into-1 manifold. The 599 GTO features the same, lower 60 ms shift times and the pos-

sibility to make multiple downshifts as on the 599XX.

One of the most significant innovations on the 599 GTO is the close correlation between the chassis set-up, which is close to

the handling limit, and the input from the electronic controls which are developed to increase overall levels of performance.

Since the very earliest states of the two cars’ development, Maranello’s engineers worked to ensure that these two

areas of the car would be seamlessly integrated thus pushing responsiveness to the limit. The result is, of course,

superlative driving involvement as well as faster lap times. Apart from new springs and a stiffer rear anti-roll bar,

the car also features a second generation magnetorheological suspension control system (SCM2). The suspension

works in tandem with the VDC (Vehicle Dynamic Control) and latest-generation F1-Trac traction control. This makes

the car extremely responsive to driver inputs - thanks in part to the adoption of a very direct steering ratio – but

also very stable under braking, sharper on turn-in, more precise in cornering and quicker out of corners.

The difference in size between the front and rear tires has changed. The GTO’s front tires are now 285/30 on a

9.5’’ channel with 315/35 on an 11.5’’ channel at the rear. The 599 GTO has 20’’ rims. Roll rigidity is greater

at the rear to minimise understeer. These solutions guarantee improved lateral grip and quicker turn in.


The 599 GTO inherits much of the development work - using the same principles as employed in F1 - that went into

making the 599XX such an extreme performance car. Reducing weight was a vital objective and the result was

the widespread use of composites and components manufactured with technologies more akin to racing specifica-

tions. The areas involved include the bodywork and greenhouse (with thinner gauge aluminium and thinner glass),

the brakes, transmission and exhaust system. The result is a dry weight of 1495 kg and a weight-to-power ratio of

just 2.23 kg/hp, a very significant figure that underlines the GTO’s performance potential.

achieve the substantial weight reduction of 100 kilograms (220 lbs), the Murciélago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce was

extensively reworked and redeveloped in virtually every aspect – from chassis to engine and transmission, right

through to the interior. The increase in engine output from 640 to 670 hp is the result of optimized valve timing

and a reworked intake system. The significantly modified aerodynamics with substantially increased downforce

brings considerable improvement to vehicle stability at very high speeds. The large “Aeropack Wing” and its

At Auto China 2010 in Beijing, Maybach will be presenting its high-end luxury saloons with added sparkle

and with significantly extended high-class equipment and individualisation options. A large new chrome

radiator grille confidently emphasises the legendary saloons’ exceptional status. Other new highlights

include the bonnet with a shaped edge, the trim on the front bumper with daytime driving lights featuring

LED technology, high-quality, dark red tail lights and a new, exclusively developed paint and stylish wheels.

In future those purchasing a Maybach 57 and 57 S will also be able to opt for the rear reclining seat from

the Maybach 62 models. New items are available on request, among them seat piping which is hand-

braided or refined with CRYSTALLIZED™ Swarovski Elements, an exquisite flacon perfume atomiser and a

WLAN router for wireless internet access. As an option, a 19-inch cinema screen and an overview camera

for the rear passengers can be installed in the rear of the Maybach 62 and 62 S models. The output of the

twelve-cylinder engine in the Maybach 57 S and 62 S has been increased to 463 kW (630 hp) but the

pollutant emissions of all models have still been cut.

The facelifted versions of the Maybach saloons are even more self-confident and effortlessly superior, their

charisma even more striking. The exceptional status they enjoy finds its main emphasis in the new dominant

chrome radiator grille, which is meticulously produced in two different variants. In the Maybach 57 and 62

models it has 20 fine longitudinal bars, and in the Maybach 57 S and 62 S twelve solid double

louvres and a “shadow strut” flag up the vehicle’s tremendous power. Both arrow-shaped

radiator grilles are also higher and boast significantly greater dimensions than before,

and they have been assigned a more upright position.


The designers have elevated the modified bonnet and given it sharply defined contours. It has a contoured

edge and appears distinctly arrow-shaped. A restyled, horizontally structured bumper trim gives the May-

bach saloons an even broader look. Daytime driving lights featuring LED technology and bordered with a

chrome insert have been integrated into the outer air intakes.

The new exterior mirrors with optimised aerodynamics for less driving noise harmonise with the striking

front, whilst their large surface means improved vision. Dark red tail lights and chrome trim used on the

handle in the boot lid lend the end section a powerful, distinguished look. This in turn is underlined by new

high-sheen 21-spoke 19-inch wheels in titanium silver for the Maybach 57 and 62 models. The Maybach

57 S and 62 S models will in future be shod as standard with new 12-spoke 20-inch wheels in noble ster-

ling silver. All models are available in the new Bahamas Blue paint.


The rear reclining seat which has only been available in the Maybach saloons with a long

wheelbase up until now can, with immediate effect, also be installed on the front-passenger

side in the rear of the Maybach 57 and 57 S models. At the same time Maybach has en-

hanced the craftsmanship of the seats for all models. The look of the seat upholstery layout

has been refined and given additional piping. On request the piping can also be hand-

braided or adorned with valuable CRYSTALLIZED™ Swarovski Elements. In the upper part

of the seat backrest a redesigned badge in 925 sterling silver with “MAYBACH MANUFAK-

TUR” lettering is an impressive indication of the great love of detail and serves as a reminder

of the prestigious environment in which one is travelling.

Maybach cuts an equally fine figure when it comes to the range of individualization

options available for the luxury saloons, which has been significantly extended. For the

very first time there is an extremely high-quality flacon perfume atomiser available on

request, having been developed exclusively by Maybach. As an option a large, high-

resolution cinema screen with a 19-inch diagonal can now be fitted to the centre of the

partition in the Maybach 62 models, as an alternative to the 9.5-inch monitors in the

rear available until now. If required Maybach will also fit the vehicles which have a par-

tition – which, incidentally, can now also be personalised with motifs of the customer’s

choosing – with an overview camera, via which the rear passengers are able to keep an

eye on the traffic in front of them without being seen themselves. As one would expect,

the Maybach MANUFAKTUR showcases masterly handcraftsmanship with no compro-

mises in the interior, where materials of the highest quality abound. •
