HuFriedyGroup Key Opinion Leader Prof. Elio Berutti & Prof. Damiano Pasqualini Easy Micro-Endo Black Kit

COMPLETE AND ESSENTIAL PROF. ELIO BERUTTI & PROF. DAMIANO PASQUALINI EASY MICRO-ENDO BLACK KIT The Easy Micro-Endo Black Kit is an original set of instruments inspired by simplicity and clinical comfort, designed by Prof. Elio Berutti and Prof. Damiano Pasqualini in collaboration with HuFriedyGroup. Each instrument combines simple patterns that clinicians will feel confident using with precise, clear indications for use. One instrument for every step of the procedure to achieve a predictable and successful outcome with no stress. All instruments feature XTS™ Aluminum Titanium Nitride (AlTiN) coating, that does not reflect the light of magnification devices, which avoids ‘dazzling’ the operator like traditional instruments. It also offers high contrast with surrounding soft and hard tissue, as well as other materials used during surgery. The smooth handle is light, ergonomic and optimally sized to facilitate easy access of the working end to the operatory field. The color cones allow the operator and the team to immediately recognize the instrument during surgery, with no confusion or lost time. The instruments can be easily collected in the IMS™ Infinity Series™ Cassette System for sterilization processing and storage, preventing damage and maintaining their high quality features over the time.

BERUTTI PASQUALINI ELEVATOR Indications: gentle elevation of the flap to expose the bone and root sites. The cutting edge and the optimal convexity of the active part provide a precise, effective and non-traumatic elevation of the soft tissues (FIG. 1-2) . The longer shank provides better visibility. One instrument for all areas of the oral cavity. It may be even used for cleavage of large lesions from fibrous adherences underneath the flap and bone cavity walls (FIG. 3) and careful protection of vulnerable sites such as neuro-vascular bundles.

MBP-EX1 Berutti Pasqualini Apical Explorer/Debrider

BERUTTI PASQUALINI EXPLORER/DEBRIDER Indications (debrider): fine debridement of root surface and bone cavity; the sickle shape extremity is suitable for the removal of fibrotic adherences and debris for an optimal cleaning of all surfaces (FIG. 6) . Indications (explorer): exploration of bone and root surface (FIG.7) , resected root apex (FIG.8) , intra- operatory assessment of the architecture of the lesion, presence of root fractures or grooves and localization of missed main and accessory root canals before retro-preparation with ultrasonic tips.

the filling material in the prepared retrocavity in anterior regions. The size of the plugger tips is available in two diameters for better versatility towards root anatomy variability. Plugger tips are smaller than standard instruments according to a minimally invasive retro-preparation concept and to the size of modern ultrasonic instruments. This instrument is indicated also for the vertical compaction of the remaining filling materials at the bottom of the retro-cavity.

adaptation of the filling material in the prepared retrocavity (FIG.9) . The angulation, lenght and size of the spatula makes this instrument suitable for any area of the oral cavity. Its moderate flexibility ensures optimal compressive adaptation without mechanical stress to root structure. Indications (burnisher): accurate finishing of the retrofilling material to the margins of the cavity preparation. The size of the ball tip and the slim shank allow visualization and control of the procedure (FIG.10) .

DID YOU KNOW? All hinged instruments – forceps, rongeurs, scissors, pliers, hemostats, orthodontic pliers, etc. – should be kept lubricated. Regular use of proper lubricants, like Instrument Lubricant Spray ( ILS ), will prevent rust, corrosion and stiff joints to ensure smooth operation. All hinged instruments should be sterilised in the open position.

CREATE YOUR CUSTOM KIT AND CHOOSE THE CASSETTE WITH YOUR FAVORITE COLOR.

WHY YOU SHOULD USE AN INSTRUMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (IMS):NFINITY SERIES™ By standardising your instruments with IMS System, additional time and revenue is generated while extending the useful life of your HuFriedyGroup instruments. Dental professionals state that by implementing IMS™ Cassettes, they save 5 to 10 minutes per procedure allowing the staff to spend more time on value-added activities*. In addition, safer transportation of soiled instruments reduces risk of injury and exposure to blood borne pathogens.

MODERN SURGICAL MICROENDODONTICS

Fig. 3 - Axial views of CBCT does not evi- dence a detectable residual apical canal patency, increasing the intra-operative risk and worsening the prognosis of a non surgical retreatment procedure.

Fig. 1 - Pre-operative periapi- cal radiograph showing signs of apical periodontitis on tooth 1.5.

Fig. 2 - 3D rendering of tooth 1.5 demonstrates the complexity of the root anatomy.

Saving teeth with peri-radicular lesions of endodontic origin due to failure of previous therapy or peculiar pathological conditions is more predictable and less invasive with modern surgical MicroEndodontics. The use of operative microscopes and magnification tools has increased the success rate of the procedure up to 95% (1) , drastically reducing the post-operative discomfort of the patients and improving their quality of life (2) (Fig. 1-11). Lighting and magnification offer the clinician new options and strategies of treatment planning. The procedure is a well-coded sequence of clinical steps that if undertaken with competency and appropriate instruments is definitely accessible to all clinicians. This is the clinical philosophy behind the design of this easy-to use surgical micro Endodontic kit.

Fig. 4 - A full-thickness muco- periosteal flap is elevated and the ostectomy is performed with burs to evidence the root apex.

Fig. 5 - The root apex is resected with no bevel. The root anatomy is stained with methylene blue to inspect the periodontium, the presence of frac- ture lines and to locate the residual root canal.
