This year the State Fair of Texas theme is Explore the Midway. If you have not been to the longest running state fair in the nation, join us on this adventure. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Pay for your ticket at the door. DINO TOUR (Activity #57100) Monday, Oct 16 10:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Fee: $25 Join us as we venture to see animatronic dinosaurs. We will tour the factory for one hour. LLAMA LESSONS (Activity #57100) Thursday, Sept 28 9:45 a.m.- Noon Fee: $30
Come visit seven pedigreed llamas on the grounds of a replica Irish castle in Royse City. Enter the air- conditioned castle barn and select a seat nearest the llama you like the most. Then for an entire hour, take photos while two llama wranglers teach you 150 fascinating facts about these creatures that are so unlike other animals. Meanwhile, watch the llamas interact with one another, steal food, admire themselves in a mirror, perform a trick or two, and amuse you with their quirky-yet-beautiful selves. After your session, take photos outside the replica castle and in front of fairy tale statuary.
