BIOGRAPHY

LORENA BEATRIZ PERSAMPIERI A hyper-realistic visual artist born in Argentina in 1973.

Her studies: My first teacher was from the Conservatory. I graduated with her: Adriana Bassani, who taught me the value and respect for Art at the age of 10. Studied at the Conservatorio Fracassi in Buenos Aires. In 1992 graduated with a degree as Superior Professor in Drawing and Painting . Throughout a process of self-discovery, she improved her academic painting (styles and technique ) and came to the realization that studying was the best way to achieve success. Participated in several workshops with visual arts masters that proved to be a true source of inspiration. In 2009 she studied drawing, painting and sculpture with the visual artist Miguel Angel Ferreira at the La Matanza National University. From 2011 until 2018 she studied hyper-realistic photography with visual artist Magdalena Mabragraň. In 2019 she attended a one year’s course in magic and academic realism with the international contemporary artist Ricardo Celma. In 2023, she studied realism with the contemporary visual artist Alejandro Resemberg.

SHOWS: 2019: Exhibited at the Centro Naval, C.A.B.A., Argentina her artwork titled “A look into the depths” (“Una mirada hacia lo profundo”), oil on canvas, with brush ,60 x 40cm. December, 2024: received invitation and grant to show at Galeria Forma, Palermo, Argentina, with two hyper-realistic artwiorks: “ Lautaroand “Niňa” (“Girl). This piece has been very appreciated by the public due to its photographic impact. February 22, 2025: “Retrospective” first individual exhibition at Galeria Forma, Palermo, Argentina, invited by its director Mónica Cassini. April 12, 2025: group exhibition led by the international art critic Jen Zapata, Curator and Cultural Affairs‘ visit. She declared: “Lorena’s artwork encompass depth and melancholic. There is deep nostalgia in the brushstrokes, it is not sadness, it is the nostalgia of the passing of time that has ended. She lives in melancholic universes.” “She has a virtuous and consistent technique. I like her hyper-realism: it talks a lot about her journey in the art, her skills and technique. Her artwork is alive, is like seeing again realism and the ancient figuration of genders that were lost in time”. She is an artist that returns to the beginnings of art history”. “She has a more conservative narrative poetics. Communicates and is direct” Visiting the show: Dr. Emilio Burucúa from Argentina, essayist and art historian, Doctor in Arts History and University Professor. The artist was very honored with his visit, his admiration and great interest in knowing about her art encouraging her to participate in national and international art competitions. AWARDS: 1991: 2 nd prize at the Instituto de Arte Isa, Belgrano, Buenos Aires, Argentina for the artwork “Naturaleza Muerta” (“Still Life” ) oil on paper, with brush on sheet, 48x62 cm. 2025: 3 rd prize at the Museum of the Americas 34 th Anniversary Exhibition in Houston, Texas, USA for her artwork “Limon -Lima “ oil on canvas, with brush, 40x80 cm. 2025: Received “Distinction Pour L’excellence en Beaux-Arts” at the International ART Shopping Salon Paris, Carrousel du Louvre, by Loft Espacio Alfa Curator Beatriz Zucaro.

Her art will also be present at the Carrousel du Louvre International ART Shopping Paris. This venue is a contemporary art fair presenting in large scale artworks and artists. She was selected by the Museum of the Americas in Houston, Texas.

At this moment she continues perfecting her skills in academic figurative painting with the tutoring of Maestro Ricardo Celma .
