Who needs to be informed about the death?
Apart from friends and family of the deceased, there are also organisations that you may need to contact. If you are using a professional for probate they will contact many of these organisations for you – see the symbol next to the relevant rows. Take copies of important documents and if you post any documents, make a note of when you sent them. Other organisations may be notified through the Local Authority if they offer this service – see the symbol throughout this table.
