No Fortress Impregnable
As investigative journalists, we set foot on the field willingly; knowing we could pay a high price. It is part of the sacrifice we offer. However, we cannot afford to see others pay such a price on our behalf. Our work is the product of the collective efforts of fearless professionals. I am simply one of the many ‘unknown soldiers’ working in Al Jazeera in pursuit of the truth. We remain ‘the Sword of Damocles’ over the heads of every tyrant or wrongdoer. The most important lesson I have come to learn is that no fortress is impregnable.
