Cornerstone At Seaside Heights Helps Revitalize Jersey Shore Neighborhood Walters brings 91 affordable senior housing units to Seaside Heights

EASIDE HEIGHTS, NJ — Wal ters , an award -wi nn i ng de - veloper based in Barnegat has completed Cornerstone At Seaside Heights, a new premium age and income- restricted apartment com- munity. Walters redeveloped the site which involved the demolition of several aging buildings to create the bar- rier island’s only new resi- dential building for seniors. “The completion of Corner- stone At Seaside Heights is important because it not only increases access to affordable, high-quality housing and ser- vices for seniors, but it is also continuing the revitalization of Seaside Heights,” said Jo- seph Del Duca , partner and director of affordable housing for Walters. Located on the corner of Bay Boulevard and Ham- ilton Avenue, the modern building includes 91 apart- ments and community space for socializing, using com- puters and exercising. De- signed to achieve LEED® and ENERGY STAR certifi- cations, the building consists of one- and two-bedroom residences. Apartments are still available with prices ranging from $995 for one bedroom and $1,250 for two bedrooms. Residents enjoy high-end interior finishes such as granite cabinets with back- splash, ceramic tile baths, resilient plank flooring in the kitchen, and blinds in each unit. Some of the units have balconies overlooking the Barnegat Bay. Light- filled common areas are open, connecting a variety of spaces such as the fit- ness center, club room, and vaulted lobby. The property features two expansive out- door decks with seating for residents. Other amenities include planned activities, on-site parking, elevators, secured key fob access, in- tercom entry and cameras. Cornerstone At Seaside Heights is designed to be sustainable, helping to im- prove the health and well being of residents while saving energy and environ- mental resources. The use of ENERGY STAR appliances also aids with long-term re- ductions in utility costs. As part of a seashore com- munity, the property’s close S

proximity to the beach and boardwalk allows for a wide range of activities for active adults. Residents can walk to Seaside Heights Beach, hike the trails at nearby Island Beach State Park, ride bikes on the boardwalk and shop and dine along the Boulevard. An open house was held at Cornerstone At Seaside Heights on June 15, 2019. The development is open to adults (55+) who do not make more than 60 percent of the county's median in- come. 
