IoPP To Hold Sustainable Packaging Training Event In Atlanta, GA The Institute of Packaging Professionals announced its latest course offering to increase an understanding of sus- tainable packaging. Fundamentals of Sustainable Packaging is an immer- sive two-day training led by experts in the sustainable packaging industry. On the third day, participants will take a practical morning tour of a local materials recycling fa- cility. The course takes place September 10-12 at Printpack in Atlanta, Georgia. Topics covered include an overview of biodegradability and composability, climate and life cycle accessibility including carbon credits, carbon capture, and the environmental and social governance roadmap includ- ing enabling of the circular economy, eco-modulation. The instructors will be Steve Carter, Director of Packag- ing Development and Sustainability, Winland Foods; Steve Cholowsky, Vice President of Global Packaging R&D, Mc- Cormick and Company; and Patrick Keenan, R&D Principal Engineer, Global Sustainability, General Mills. Completing the course earns 16 Certified Packaging Professional (CPP) requirements. Attendance at all training days is required for a certificate of completion. To register, visit iopp.org .
