New Jersey Senate Passes Bill To Reduce Size Of Shipping Boxes The New Jersey Senate passed a bill in a 21-15 vote re- cently that limits the size of corrugated shipping boxes used by large online and major retailers in the state. The bill specifically prohibits shipping boxes that are greater than two times the volume of the product being shipped. The law applies to large online retailers and major re- tailers in the state. The bill was sponsored by Senators Bob Smith and John F. McKeon in efforts to reduce excessively large ship- ping boxes and packaging waste.
