F o r s e v e r a l years the committee of the Revival Prayer Fellowship

has felt the necessity of having a “ministers only” conference. Early in 1960 this committee arranged for such a conference and contracted with the management of Forest Home for the dates. Knowing that the pas tor has problems peculiar to himself, it was felt necessary to gather in this beautiful secluded spot to hear from God through His chosen instruments. Accordingly, on Monday, March 6, 1961, the conference began with an informal introduction around a cup of coffee at 3:00 P.M. This afforded many new men the opportunity of becoming acquainted with each other. As the chairman of the pastors, Dr. Herbert H. Richardson, opened the conference, it was evident that God was about to do a “ new thing.” Everywhere there was an air of great expectancy. It was as though one had long awaited just such an hour. Fol lowing the inspirational musical pro gram led by Dr. Carlton Booth of the Fuller Seminary, the conference was officially begun as the Director of Revival Prayer Fellowship, Rev. Ar- min Gesswein, introduced the Rev. David Morken from Hong Kong. His devotional message prepared t h e Dr. Herbert Richardson, Dr. Robert Munger and Dr. Armin Gesswein go over the conference schedule. 40 THE KING 'S BUSINESS
