The community is led by a council elected by the membership and appointed by the council and related interest groups to represent the entire physical chemistry community. Our aims are to: • To advise on and support scientific developments both in research and training in the general field of physical chemistry . • To support the next generation of scientists in the important field of physical chemistry in its broadest context . • To act as an advocate for the field of physical chemistry to the scientific community, and society as a whole. • To promote excellence and sustainability in the field of physical chemistry. • To promote inclusion and diversity in its broadest possible sense across the physical chemistry community. We organise and / or support a range of activities, such as the Faraday Discussions conference series , the Faraday Joint Interest Group Conference, the Faraday Community Poster Symposium, and small scientific meetings. We support community-led events, such as the Recent Appointees in Physical Chemistry meeting. We advocate and provide expertise for physical chemistry. We recognise excellence within the community through our prizes programme and support our community by supporting the RSC grants schemes.
