College – Issue 41

Guided Tours

Over thewarmer months, a dedicated group of volunteers show visitors around College. Our beautiful campus has one of the best collections of heritage buildings in the country, aswell as some state-of-the-artmodern facilities. Many locals go past without realising what is to be found inside the Rolleston Avenue gates. Our guides are old boys of Christ's College. Join them on a tour as they share the their knowledge, passion, and the rich history of the school. In an effort to attract greater numbers of visitors, the hours of operation have been extended this season with tours on offer each week day at 10am and 2pm. A typical tour takes around 80 minutes and visitors have the opportunity to look inside the buildings and wander the grounds.

Groups are welcome and we can even accommodate large groups from clubs – for example, Probus. Tickets can be purchased online at www.christscollege.com/community/guided-history-tour/

The tour season runs from November until April. Spread the word – bring your out-of-town visitors along and mention it to your friends.
