MUSIC Boys on song for House Music Festival

In one of the best nights of the year, College’s Parents’ Association House Music Festival rocked a packed Town Hall, impressing with musicality, great sounds and unparalleled enthusiasm.

Parents, grandparents, Old Boys, friends and staff were treated to a celebration of the boys’ talent in House choirs and small vocal and instrumental ensembles. There was no doubt that it was a boys’ school on show, with the physicality and quirky choreography of the House performances speaking volumes about the competitiveness of the night.

However, it was the performers’ visible enjoyment which delighted the audience. The boys invested every performance with maximum effort, energy and enthusiasm while the atmosphere was electric. The College Big Band set the vibe with a pre-concert set, followed by a rousing haka from the kapa haka group, and a polished bilingual welcome from Head of Biculturalism Bradley Shearer.
