RADIOLOGY CASE OF THE MONTH More than One Hepatic Adenoma

A 33-year-oldwoman presented to our institutionwith acute onset of severe, progressively- increasing right upper quadrant abdominal pain radiating to the right shoulder. Associated symptoms included nausea and early satiety. Her past medical history was unremarkable. The patient had been taking oral contraceptives for the past 10 years. Blood work revealed increased serum gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase and alkaline phosphatase levels. A triple phase computed tomography (CT) of the abdomen was obtained (Figure 1). Based on imaging findings, patient underwent exploratory laparoscopy with left lobe liver resection and subsequent biopsy of the hepatic parenchyma (Figure 2).
