In 1972, Winston-Salem State University became one of the 16 constituent institutions of the University of North Carolina, subject to the control of a Board of Governors. ETHICS: Trustees are required to complete a Statement of Economic Interest annually, by the specified deadline, and to complete ethics education every two years as prescribed by law. PER DIEM: The State of North Carolina Travel Policies and Regulation is intended to provide guidelines for the payment from state funds for travel and subsistence costs surrounding the attendance of state public officials at political functions or meetings. State officials, both elected and appointed, sometimes attend political functions or meetings; as a trustee, the university will pay for your travel expenses to board business in accordance with NC law, as it may be amended from time to time, in addition, you are eligible to receive a $15 per diem for meeting attendance. The per diem for attending a full board meeting is optional. If you choose to accept the per diem you will need to fill out a WSSU Foundation W9 form prior to receiving payment for reimbursement. However, the W9 form is REQUIRED to authorize any reimbursements issued to the Trustee on behalf of the WSSU Foundation. UPCOMING EVENTS: Please save the following dates.
