BY-LAWS The Rosebud Junior Garden Club of Texas High School
ARTICLE I - NAME AND PURPOSE
Section 1. The name of this club shall be the Rosebud Junior Garden Club. Section 2. The object of this club is to be a service and educational organization for young women at Texas High School. The club will provide education to the members by introducing programs that will help them become productive women and leaders in the community and school. Section 3. Rosebuds emphasizes service through our various educational activities and service projects. The members are taught different skills that they will need later in life such as being dependable, working together in groups, and serving others. Educational programs in Rosebuds are also used to help the girls develop new skills and interests.
ARTICLE II - MEMBERSHIP
Section 1. Membership in this club is an honor bestowed upon a student. Selection for membership is by invitation based on the overall weighted GPA of 143.0 or higher grade point average, and good attendance and behavior. Section 2. Active members shall remain part of the club until graduation. Active members must participate in all events and payment of dues. Points will be earned by attending events. Seniors will become inactive members upon graduation. Members who are dismissed from the club due to circumstances outlined in Article V will be considered inactive members. Section 3. Prospective new members shall receive an invitation, inviting them into the club. If an individual does not receive an invitation, they are not eligible for membership of the Rosebud Junior Garden Club. Section 4. Point system. Members earn points by attending meetings, events and participating in fundraisers and community service. A minimum of 50 points are required to attend the end of the year trip/party. Section 5. Active members who resign without reasonable cause or are dismissed are never eligible for membership. Section 6. Members are expected to uphold a high standard of behavior that is necessary for the integrity and reputation of the organization. Members must be of outstanding character, leadership, and citizenship (above all reproach). Section 7. Members are expected to participate in Volunteer activities representing Rosebuds as part of maintaining Active membership.
