THE ARC OF DELAWARE COUNTY
LIBERTY ARC
The Arc of Delaware County recently welcomed sixth graders from Hancock Central School to join them at their day programs to participate in various activities. Each group of students was paired with a mentor who
guided the students throughout the day, answered any questions they had, and gave them an opportunity to get to know each other.
Ken Shumaker of Liberty ARC (Montgomery, Schenectady) recently visited Mrs. Porter's second grade class at the R.J. McNulty Elementary School to bring a special painting he made for the students. In exchange, each student made Ken a ‘thank you’ card. ARC OF ONONDAGA This spring, East Syracuse-Minoa Central High School invited Arc of Onondaga’s self-advocacy group, the Arc Achievers, to share their "Think Twice. Be Nice." campaign with the students.
The Arc Achievers spoke passionately about making their community more accepting, inclusive, and kind. They were very appreciative of the opportunity!
