Welcome Home
A LETTER TO YOU, OUR NEW FRIEND
6
Q3 / 2025
If you’re reading this, it means we’re already connected in some way. Maybe you just visited us, maybe someone invited you, or maybe you’re simply curious about Victory City Church. However you found us, know this—you belong here. Not because you’ve got it all figured out, but because you are exactly who God had in mind when He dreamed of this community. At Victory City Church, our mission is simple: to help every person take a step closer to Jesus. Not every step at once, just one step at a time—because that’s how real transformation happens. Pastors Eric and Natalie Morris lead with a vision of a church that looks like heaven: people of all ages, all backgrounds, and all stories discovering they have a place and purpose here. We stand on four core values: the Bible as our foundation, discipleship that works in everyday life, passion that overflows and spreads, and Jesus at the very center of it all. When you visit, you won’t find perfection, but you will find authenticity—worship that’s genuine, teaching that’s practical, and people committed to growing together. You don’t need to have your life together, know all the church words, or pretend to be someone you’re not to be welcome here. What matters is that you’re open to growth. God created you with intention and purpose, and He’s not finished with His work in you yet. So come as you are. Bring your questions, doubts, hopes, and even your mess. What you’ll find is grace for where you’ve been and vision for where God is leading you. This isn’t just an invitation to attend church—it’s an invitation to encounter Jesus and discover the person God always intended you to become.
—Pastor Eric & Pastor Natalie

LETTER FROM
Vision 2026
PASTOR ERIC MORRIS
As we prepare to finish 2025 and head into 2026, I think it is important to provide context to our journey as a church. It is often said that you overestimate what you can do in a year, and underestimate what you can do in ten. In 2025, we took a very intentional step towards making room for more people. Our church sacrificed, we leaned into what the Holy Spirit was doing and opened our expansion. I wanted to wait an extra year to build more financial cushion, but God had other plans. And so far in 2025, we have seen 116 people be baptized already! This is 116 souls that have made public declarations of following Jesus. This is something to give praise to God for! We have also grown as a church by over 35%. The church is alive, because of your faithfulness. As we look to 2026, I keep hearing these words. More of the same. Eric, just keep being faithful. Eric, just stay the course. Eric, keep your heart close to mine. This may not be flashy, but it is hard. Often we get distracted. We get in a hurry or we experience setbacks and that throws us out of sync with God. The idea of just being really consistent isn’t sexy, but it is effective. Faithfulness is many times trusting God when we don’t see the results immediately. We think of faithfulness as the means to
the end. This is not what the Lord sees. The Lord sees faithfulness as the end. The goal is consistently walking with the Lord and consistently taking steps closer to Him. It is so easy in our world to have our head turned by the flash and glitter of someone else’s life, but Jesus sees our faithfulness to Him as the whole goal. Jesus taught us in John chapter 5 that if we abide in Him, we will be fruitful. He said, “I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:5 Our job is to abide. His job is the fruit. Consistency isn’t apathy; it’s obedience. It’s worship when you’re tired. This is our aim as a church. To let us be faithful in our service. Let us be faithful in our sacrificial journey, let us be faithful in our devotional life. Let us be faithful to our first love, which is Christ. Let us look at what God has done in one single year and give thanks, and then with great expectation look forward to the next year, with our hearts full of faith, as we the church are God’s instrument for His Kingdom.

that try to hold us back, and the fight that it takes to break through them. The Creative Process My creative process always begins the same way—with a blank document in front of me and an invitation for the Holy Spirit to guide the brainstorming. I need Him to help me communicate what our people need to hear or see. Then I just start writing, usually in one long stream of consciousness. I already had Pastor Natalie’s vision in mind, and I’d seen some of Alex’s incredible graphic branding for the night— this amazing boxing gym concept with gloves as central elements. So I began writing down thoughts as they flowed: “Bold, action, push past.” Then this line came out: “Video of woman getting ready to go into a boxing ring or to punch a punching bag. As negative thoughts pop up, the girl keeps ignoring the excuses and ends up going out and fighting anyways.” I love brainstorming with other people, so I brought the idea to our creative team meeting. Together, we refined it into its final form: a journey of a fighter choosing to push past negative thoughts, comfort, and excuses to step into the future God has for her. The Morning of the Shoot Loading up the gear that morning, I remember feeling nervous. A lot of work had gone into the storyboarding, writing the script, and preparation. I had high expectations, and with a large crew of creative team members there to help, I wanted it to be a fun experience while also creating something the team would be proud to be part of. But as the crew showed up so prepared and with such amazing attitudes, that nervous part of me eased. I kept reminding myself that we made our own juice with everything we had, and God would make a way for the rest. Finding the Heart in the Edit Here’s something about video editing—the final version usually turns into something different than what you originally envisioned. You discover what building blocks
The lights dimmed in the auditorium as worship concluded, and I felt that familiar flutter of anticipation in my chest. I had no idea when during the service my video would play—it was a surprise to me too. As we took our seats, I turned to my mom sitting next to me and whispered excitedly, “I directed this video!” But let me back up and tell you how we got to that moment. The Spark It all started with Pastor Natalie’s vision for Women’s Night. She had been seeing a pattern in our church— women finding themselves in difficult circumstances, seeking God’s intervention to change their situations, but sometimes falling short in taking the personal steps necessary for transformation. We allow our excuses or shortcomings to hold us back from our future, when we should push through and fight for it. When I heard her heart for this message, I knew immediately that I wanted to create something that was a visual metaphor of the thoughts that creep into our minds

audience started cheering and clapping! It was completely unanticipated. I was so surprised. It felt like secretly God had been working through me to create something I wasn’t even aware of. The women in the auditorium were moved by something deeper than what I thought I was making. It was like God had a purpose for the
video that was different than mine. What Surprised Me Most
There are many things I love about serving on the Creative Team. There’s the honor of being entrusted with a project by a leader. There’s the joy in seeing team members have new experiences and grow in their God-given gifts. There’s the satisfaction of working really hard on something and seeing it come to fruition. But what surprised me most through this project was hearing those women cheer for the fighter on the screen. God uses our work in ways we can’t always foresee. If we just submit our gifts to Him, it leads to things far greater than we can imagine. To Anyone Hesitant to Surrender Their Gifts To the Kingdom. If you haven’t stepped into your creative calling, I want you to know that God has something beautiful planned when you surrender your gifts to Him. You’re capable of creating something that can move a room of hundreds. Sometimes you’ll be surprised by how God uses what you’ve made in ways you never imagined. The fight continues—not just on screen, but in the hearts of women who found their own courage to push past what’s holding them back and step boldly into their God-given future.
you truly have to work with once you’re in the editing phase. However, this video managed to stay true to the original plan. Well, except for one element I hadn’t planned for: the soundtrack. I probably listened to a hundred songs before landing on the one we used! If you’ve edited videos before, you know that music is the ultimate determining factor in how the video is cut, what emotion it conveys, and where you take the viewer. The original plan was for the intensity to remain consistent throughout, but because of the song I chose, the result became this dramatic build to the end. The Moment Everything Changed Back to Women’s Night. As worship closed out and the lights went down, the video began. I’d watched it hundreds of times by that point, but watching it in service was a totally different experience. The music was deep, and as it kept building, I felt the bass in my bones and heard the auditorium ceiling rattle. But then came the absolute best part. When the main character—the boxer—finally broke through the thoughts that were trying to hold her back, the women in the

Give God a Year JONATHAN & ANGIE’S STEP STORY — IN OUR WORDS
We’re like a lot of people—we’d driven past Victory City on the way to Costco. One day we finally said, “Let’s look that church up.” A quick Google search turned into TikTok and Instagram. Two weeks later, we walked in for our first service. That Sunday happened to be Connect Group Launch, which was perfect timing. We were looking for more than just a place to attend, we wanted to find real community. From the very first visit, something clicked. We kept coming back, week after week, and before long, Victory City wasn’t just the church we attended it became home. In January, Pastor Eric preached on serving and then said, “Why don’t you give God a year?”. It felt personal. We looked at each other during the service and both knew: this is our step. They shared a couple of stories that morning, and that sealed it. We said “yes” - that we would Give God a Year. (Angie) We signed up for VC Track and joined the Creative Team. My husband, Jonathan, does photography and I help with socials. Nothing felt forced. It was like the right puzzle pieces finally fit. Serving didn’t just give us tasks; it gave us people and a place. We leaned into Groups, too—started with 20s & 30s and then fully joined the Marriage Group. That’s where it clicked for us: different ages and different marriage seasons in one room, honest conversations, real community. The common theme at that group was that everyone was serving at the church somewhere. (Angie) I grew up knowing about God—Christian school and even Catholic school—but I never felt like I was walking with
Him. This year I did. For the first time I felt real conviction to let go of things that aren’t of God, and at the same time, I felt a love I didn’t know I had—not just for God, but for people. I’ll never forget someone at church telling me, “I’m praying for you,” when we barely knew each other. That was new for me. God used moments like that to show me I’m seen and valued. I’ve prayed for a circle of women for years; this year I found them. (Jonathan) It took me a while to break out of my shell. I’m shy and tend to get anxious in new spaces. Serving helped. The Creative Team cares about you as a person, not just what you do. I feel joy when I’m with them. Our team lead keeps it fun but grounded— always back to the point: helping people take a step closer to Jesus. This year stretched us, but it’s been good. We went from Sunday attenders to part of the church family. We found friends. We found purpose. We started saying no to things that didn’t fit where God was leading and yes to rhythms that did—Sunday, serving, connect group, showing up even when tired. The more we said yes to God, the clearer His work became. If you’re on the fence, here’s our honest take: Give God a Year. Join a Group. Pick a Serve Team. You don’t have to have it all figured

Helping Kids Grow in Faith: The “He, We, Me” Process
LUZ JOHNSON
How Parents Can Join In You can use “He, We, Me” at home too! Try asking:
At Victory City Church, our curriculum aims to help kids understand and apply the Bible. A key part of this is the simple and powerful “He, We, Me” process: HE — What Does God Say? We start with God’s Word. Kids learn who God is, what He’s done, and what He says — building a strong foundation based on truth. WE— What Does This Mean for All of Us? Faith is lived in community. Kids see how God’s truth impacts their relationships and their place in the family of God. ME — What Does This Mean for Me? Faith gets personal. Kids reflect on how God’s truth applies to their own lives — their choices, friendships, and next steps with Jesus.
•
“What did you learn about God today?”
•
“How does that help us as a family?”
• “What’s one way you can live it out this week?”
Model faith in everyday life, pray together, and explore Scripture as a family. Together, we’re helping kids know, love, and follow Jesus.

Conference Recap PASTOR ISAAC FERNANDEZ
I am absolutely amazed at all that God did at Young Saints Conference 2025.
I am so thankful for the faith of our Pastors, Pastor Eric and Pastor Natalie, for saying yes to this dream and idea and then providing us with a budget to accomplish it. What we never anticipated was receiving over $12,000 in donations to sponsor students! People within our church wanted to remove barriers for students who couldn’t afford a ticket. Thank you to those who sacrificially gave to make it possible for students to attend. We had so many donations come in that we were able to make conference free the week of, for any student who couldn’t purchase a ticket. That is incredible! I am humbled and proud to be a part of such a generous church. This conference wouldn’t have been possible without our youth team. I had an incredible team of leaders that met every other Saturday starting in January for planning and organizing. Then, the week of conference, we had over 100 volunteers over the course of the three days! Thank you for your sacrifice. Your service led to life change! I am not able to fit all of the student testimonies from conference into this magazine. However, what I can tell you is that students from all faith backgrounds had life-changing encounters with Christ. Students who come to church every Sunday, all the way to students who have never attended a church. We had multiple services where every student in the room flooded the altar to surrender to Christ. This wasn’t just a youth event; this was a move of God. I believe this wasn’t just a one-time event. I believe this was just a foreshadowing of what God is going to do in our student ministry. Conference was a moment that turned into momentum. Momentum that I believe will reach students in our city and forever change lives.
A movement that will help students see their God-given potential to become Young Saints.

The Power of Prayer
That’s why serving on the prayer team at Victory City means so much to me. I’ve seen how prayer opens a space for people to encounter God in a collective, powerful way. When we come together—joining our faith and believing with one another—God moves. Scripture says one can put a thousand to flight, but two can put ten thousand to flight. There’s a multiplying effect when we agree in prayer, and it’s not just words— it’s real, it’s tangible, and I’ve seen many breakthroughs happen in people’s lives because of it. My hope for Victory City is that God would look at us and call us a house of prayer. In Scripture, He says, “This temple… is a house of prayer.” That’s His heart— that individually, we would live lives of prayer, and collectively, we would lift our voices together as one. If Victory City can embody that, then I believe God will use us to bring hope, healing, and breakthrough to so many more people.
TAYLOR FYHRIE
I’ve been going to Victory City for just over a year now. We actually found the church in a couple of ways—partly by searching online, and partly because my wife’s hairdresser was talking about it. At the same time, we had just moved to Pflugerville, and it felt like the timing was perfect. God really orchestrated it so naturally. Many years ago, my life was not aligning with God. I was far from Him, and yet my mom and grandma—both prayer warriors—were faithfully interceding for me. They prayed that I would come back to the Lord, even when I couldn’t see it for myself. One night, when my life had truly hit rock bottom, God brought me to a moment where I couldn’t deny that He was drawing me back. Looking back now, it almost feels like a divine setup. I knew I needed to come home to Him, and I truly credit that to the powerful prayers of my grandma and mom. Prayer has always been a deeply personal part of my life because I’ve lived the fruit of it.

Victory City Women is not just an event or a program—it’s a movement of women who believe God has more for us, and we’re choosing to pursue it together. My prayer is that you’ll lean in, take a step, and find not only friendships but also the courage to step into all that God has called you to be.
SPOTLIGHT
Victory City Women is a community of everyday women—moms, daughters, students, professionals— who are choosing to follow Jesus in real life, together. Every one of us is navigating faith, family, work, and the everyday challenges of life—and we need a community that reminds us we are not in this fight by ourselves. My heart is to create a space where everyday women can connect, grow in their faith, and be encouraged to live out the call of God in their lives. Whether you’re brand new to church or have been following Jesus for years, there’s a place for you here. Whether you’re looking for deeper friendships, accountability in your walk with God, or simply a reminder that you’re not the only one juggling it all—you belong here. If you’ve been waiting for the “right” time, the time is now. Step into community. Join a group. Come to Bible study. Follow along with us online. Don’t let excuses keep you from the freedom and purpose God has for you. The future we’re fighting for is too important. And I truly believe— it starts with women like you.
We’re better together, and you belong here.

God’s Not Finished
surrendered their hearts to Jesus for the very first time. Those numbers are powerful, but they don’t even come close to capturing the depth of what God was doing. What made the biggest impact weren’t just the moments at the altar, but the conversations in between. We sat across from men who felt like their story was over, men who believed their mistakes had defined them forever. And yet, in those moments, we got to look them in the eye and say, “God’s not finished with you. He is still writing your story.” We listened to their fears, their regrets, and their questions. We held their hands and prayed over them, and with every word, every prayer, and every embrace, the presence of Jesus was made tangible. Being in that room reminded us that being the church is never about four walls, a stage, or a microphone. It’s about being the hands and feet of Jesus in the places that need Him most. It’s about bringing hope into spaces marked by hopelessness, light into the darkest corners, and love into places where so many feel forgotten. As we walked out of those prison doors, our hearts were full—full of gratitude, full of awe, and full of expectation for what God is going to continue to do behind those walls.
VICTORY CITY PRISON OUTREACH
In August, our prison outreach ministry gave us one of the clearest pictures of what it truly means when we say at the end of every service, “Be the Church.” Men and women from Victory City stepped outside the walls of our building and into places that the world often forgets, carrying with them the light and hope of Jesus. Eleven women were mobilized to Lockhart Correctional Facility, where they were able to share the gospel, pray with women face-to-face, and remind them that no matter what their past looks like, they are still seen and deeply loved by God. At the same time, twenty-seven men went into Travis State Jail, and, for the very first time in our church’s history, Victory City was able to put on a full service. That moment alone felt like holy ground. More than one hundred men packed into the room—not because of us, but because God was already stirring something in their hearts. We sang, we prayed, we preached the Word, and in the middle of it all, God’s Spirit moved in a mighty way. Seventeen men were baptized, boldly declaring that their old life was gone and they were stepping into new life in Christ. Over fifteen men
