BY - LAWS ARTICLE III - SELECTION OF MEMBERS
Section 1. To be eligible for membership, the eligible member must be a female member of the sophomore class. (Freshmen or those classified as 9th graders are not eligible.) Any junior or senior that moves into the district may join at the start of each new year, if they meet the membership requirements. Section 2. Applicants must have a weighted grade of a 143.0 or higher to be considered as a member of the Rosebud Junior Garden Club. Section 3: Applicants must not have violated the TISD Code of Conduct. Those who violate the Code of Conduct at a level requiring In School Suspen- sion (ISS) or Disciplinary Alternative Education Placement (DAEP) will not be selected. Section 4. A description of the selection procedure and requirements shall be published in an official school publication that is widely available to all students, parents, and the greater community. Section 5. Upon selection, incoming Rosebuds must make an original floral arrangement for a teacher or staff member to complete their member- ship. In addition, newly accepted members are required to attend the Initia- tion Dinner. ARTICLE IV - CONDUCT Section 1. Proper manners should be used at all times to address adults and officers. Mutual respect and politeness toward fellow members within the group are basic elements that contribute to the total success of the group. Section 2. Assault or harassment of sponsor(s) or group members, or theft of group or individual property are expressly forbidden. At the first in- fraction of either of these rules, the member will be dismissed from the club. Section 3. The possession and/or use of alcohol, tobacco, and illegal drugs are forbidden and will not be tolerated. Any infraction, on or off cam- pus, will result in a principal/sponsor/parent/student review. Dismissal from the club may result from this review. A second infraction will result in the immediate dismissal from the club. Section 4. Members will maintain a higher standard of conduct that is appropriate on social media sites such as Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, etc.. Members are responsible for everything they post on social me- dia or anything they are tagged in. The area of appropriateness will include, but are not limited to language (abbreviated or alluding to), pictures, sugges- tive poses, nudity, clothing, reference to alcohol, drugs, and tobacco. Any question of appropriateness will be decided by the principal and sponsor(s).
