BY - LAWS ARTICLE V - DISMISSAL
Section 1. The procedure for dismissal shall be determined by the club sponsor(s) and the principal in compliance with the rules and regula- tions of the Rosebud Junior Garden Club. A written description of the dis- missal procedures shall be available to interested parties. Section 2. Members must maintain the GPA of at least a 143.0 or higher, which was the basis of their selection, per semester or the member will be placed on a probation period of six weeks following the drop in not meeting the required weighted GPA. The member will have the probation period to correct the deficiency. If the student does not meet the probation period requirement, she will be dismissed from the program. Section 3. The student members who habitually violate the TISD Code of Conduct or who violate the Code of Conduct at a level requiring In School Suspension (ISS) or Disciplinary Alternative Education Placement (DAEP) shall be removed from membership. Section 4. Members who receive three demerits will be dismissed from the club. Demerits can be received for the following items: not attending mandatory meetings such as the Initiation Tea (if required to attend), not participating in the Thanksgiving Bake Sale or Teacher ’ s Tea, not participat- ing in a service project in the spring, not turning in their floral arrangement, not paying dues, not turning in the signed bylaws form, or not paying or attending other events. Section 5. Members who do not carry out their requirements (ie; Thanksgiving Bake Sale, Teacher ’ s Tea, Teacher Floral Arrangements, or any other philanthropic events) will be dismissed after two events are not completed. If a member has an issue with any of the philanthropic responsi- bilities, they need to discuss the issue with the club sponsor(s). Section 6. In all cases of impending dismissal, a member shall have a right to a hearing before the faculty council. A student may be accompanied by a parent/guardian at their hearing. ARTICLE VI - OFFICERS/COMMITTEE CHAIRS Section 1. The duty of all officer positions shall be to set a positive example for members as well as other officers. All officers are expected to model and promote Rosebud values and purpose and most importantly, make Rosebuds a HIGH priority of her commitments. The Executive Council of this club shall be a president, vice - president, secretary and treasurer. The remaining positions will be called officers. They will be made up of incom- ing 11th and 12th grade members for the following year and will be 1 person positions. Section 2. A majority of votes cast shall be necessary to elect any of- ficer of this chapter, and officer positions are based primarily on good at- tendance and active participation in the club. However, girls do have the opportunity to express interest in specific positions for which they would like to be chosen for. Section 3. New officers and committee members shall be installed at the Dinner at the end of every school year, typically in April or May.
