It’s no secret that some foods are better for your teeth than others. Many kinds of cheese, for example, can temporarily elevate pH levels in your mouth and stimulate saliva production, which creates an inhospitable environment for the harmful bacteria that cause tooth decay. Plus, cheese is high in calcium, which helps strengthen bones and teeth. Unfortunately, there are some nutritious foods that can cause more harm than good when it comes to the health of your teeth.
