CONFERENCE & EXHIBITION In 2024, OFC expects to welcome over 13,000 participants from 70 countries, 80 media outlets and have over 540 exhibiting companies in its exhibition halls. This global event serves as the platform for start-ups to make their debut and industry leaders to set the pace for what’s to come. Event organizers provide a compelling series of exciting programs and events covering the entire ecosystem with a focus on inclusivity. One of OFC’s highlights will be the live interoperability demonstrations from leading optics companies running over OFCnet. Another is the Plenary Session with inspiring talks by industry leaders who share insights into how technology is transforming the industry and reshaping the world. Product announcements and company launches take centre stage at OFC. The exhibition has long been a showcase for entrepreneurs focused on transforming markets. MARKET WATCH This three-day series of panel discussions highlights the latest application topics and business issues in the field of optical communications. Presentations and panel sessions feature esteemed guest speakers from industry, research and the investment community. NETWORK OPERATOR SUMMIT This dynamic program presents the inside perspective from network operators and service providers -- their issues, business drivers and how network requirements impact the future of the industry. Everyone in the supply chain, from equipment to component manufacturers, will want to hear what’s next in meeting the demand of our industry’s network operators. OFCNET OFC’s live high-speed optical network enables booth-to-booth fibre connectivity for on-site optical demonstrations while also connecting the Corporation for Education Network Initiatives in California’s (CENIC) network to the OFC exhibition. This connectivity provides new opportunities for exhibitors who collaborate with affiliated academic institutions to highlight advancements and capabilities in a live real-time, fully operational network environment. In 2024, we will have over 27 live demonstrations where industry and research and education come together to support large-scale optical networking. REGISTRATION There are a number of registration options for either virtual or physical attendance at the conference and expo, as well as attendance to the short courses, which involve an extra fee. However, Optica, IEEE Communications Society and IEEE Photonics Society Members residing in Low- and Lower-Middle Income countries (as defined by the World Bank) are eligible for free, waived registration to both in-person and virtual events.
