CHRISTIAN ENDEAVOR TOPICS (Continued from page 487) Acts 2: 46, 47; John 11:41; Luke 24: 30, 31, 35; Col. 1:9, 12; 2 Cor. 9:12; 4:15; Luke 17:15-18; Rom. 1:18-21; Phil. 4:6; Eph. 5:20; 1 Cor. 15:57; 1 Tim. 4:3; 1 Cor. 1:4; 1 Thess. 2:13; Col. 2:6, 7). The bounties that we receive are not ours. We are stewards and trus tees whose business it is to share these blessings as long as a need exists any where. We share these bounties by giving according to the Christian doc trine of giving: Bountifully , ( 2 Cor. 8 :7-12 ; 9 :6 ). Not in a mean, stingy fashion. There is no place for stinginess in the Chris tian religion. It is based on sacrificial giving. God is a Giver (John 3:16). The Lord Jesus Christ is a Giver (Gal. 2:20; 2 Cor. 8 ;9 ). The Holy Spirit is a Giver (2 Cor. 3:6; Eph. 3:16; Rom. 15:13; 5 :5 ). We must be givers too, if we are to have fellowship with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Lovingly (2 Cor. 9:1, 2, 5, 7). The gift must be in lové (1 Cor. 13). Cheerfully (2 Cor. 9:7 )\ Proportionately (2 Côr. 8:14, 15; 1 Cor. 16:2; Luke 6:30). Systematically or regularly (1 Cor. 16:2). Prayerfully. The value of the gift will be multiplied when it is sanctified by prayer. Wisely. We are stewards and we must be careful to give so as to bring the largest possible glory to God (1 Cor.'4 : 1 ,2 ) . (Luke 11:41; 12:33; Matt. 19:21; 1 John 3:17, 18). NOVEMBER 29, 1925 Victories of Christian Friendliness in China . Acts 2:38-47 One of the best examples of the power of the Gospel and the victories won through the preaching of the Gos pel in China is the work carried on under the direction of Dr. Frank Kel ler. We would refer the reader to the report of “Our Bible Institute in Hunan Province, China” in this and other numbers of The King’s Business. iB§ â g “He and I together entering, One deep joy shall share; Mine to be for ever with Him, His that I am there.” gM|l-Amelia M. -Starkweather. ^'4. ^'4. “Enclosed, please find $1.25 for The King’s Business. I received the April,- May and June issues from a friend and am passing them along. Hope you get more subscriptions. I like the magazine very much. It has spiritual food which not many others have. Let my subscription start from July, as I am reading that splendid story, ‘Fine Gold,’ and want it all. I shall pray that The King’s Business will never become ‘enlightened ( ? ) ’ or ‘mod ern.’ ”-B(Mrs. H. L., California). “HAVE YOU HAD A KINDNESS SHOWN? PASS IT ON”

Stop Making Embarrassing Mistakes in English Y OU are sized up every day by what you say and write. The words you use; how you use them; your spell ing, grammar; pronunciation—these give others the measure of your education. Others quite naturally think you are lacking in culture if you say “between you and I,” instead of “between you and me;” if you use “who” for “whom,” and “shall” for “will;” if you say “hosPIT- able” when you, should say “HOSpitable;” or if you make similar common blunders. Fairly or unfairly, you are always merci lessly judged by the character of the Eng lish you, use. Sherwin Cody’s New Invention For the first time in the history of edu cation ther&Is a way to .improve your English quickly and surely. Sherwin Cody, perhaps the best-known teacher of practical English, has perfected and pat ented a remarkable devifce which will quickly find and correct the mistakes you unconsciously make. ' C o r r e c t English soon becomes a habit.
