Mrs. Gladys H. Barr is author of a new book, “ The Tinker’s Armour,” the story of John Bunyan, author of Pilgrim’s Progress. The publication has just been issued by Broadman Press, Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Amo Weniger has been appointed president of the San Francisco Con­ servative Theological Seminary. Dr. Weniger recently celebrated his 20th year as pastor of the Hamilton Square Baptist Church in the bay city. Mr. Leland Haggarty, associate direc­ tor of Christian Radio, Incorporated, Formosa, has announced that the Free Chinese government has granted per­ mission for their station to be on the air 18 hours a day. The facility will also beam Christian broadcasts, short- waved, six hours a day to the Com­ munist mainland. Rev. Leighton Ford and Rev. Joseph D. Blinco, associate evangelists with the Billy Graham team, have been assigned to the Australian follow-up Minneapolis Billy Graham Campaign campaign in Sydney and other cities. The. Greater Philadelphia Crusade was carried on following the Min­ neapolis rally conducted by the Cru­ sade. Rev. Don McCrossan, director of the Victory Service Club, reports the work has begun its 20th year. During the past two decades more than 2V& million service men from both Amer­ ican and foreign military organiza­ tions have received hospitality and the Gospel message proclaimed from the Club. Dr. Arthur Holmes, head of Philos­ ophy of Wheaton College, has an­ nounced the dates of November 10th and 11th for the annual Philosophy Conference to be held at the midwest college campus. Dr. William R. Bright, founder and president of Campus Crusade for Christ International, received an honorary doctor of laws degree from the Chonbuk National University in Korea during a recent ceremony there.
