From 1985-2008, he was on the summer faculty at the Interlochen Center for the Arts. He has been an active member of the International Horn Society for almost five decades and is currently serving as Coordinator of the I.H.S. Composition Contest. He has been the recipient of the ASCAPlus Award from the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers every year since 1990. In this position she holds primary responsibility for ensuring all Faust Music customers receive orders in a timely fashion. When live events are possible, you will find Sharon at the Faust Music booth greeting everyone and helping customers identify and select music from the Faust Music catalog that fits their musical needs. In addition to her work for Faust Music, Sharon serves as Adjunct Instructor of Oboe at Knox College (Galesburg, IL) and maintains an active private teaching studio. She has been a member of the Columbus (GA) Symphony Orchestra, the Fairfax (VA) Symphony, and currently is a member of the Knox-Galesburg Symphony Orchestra. She has held teaching posts at Knox College, Shenandoah Conservatory of Music (VA), and Columbus College (GA). Ms. Faust recently retired from her position, Director of Development for Tri States Public Radio at Western Illinois University. Previously, she held positions as Director of Education and Administration at the Sherwood Conservatory (Chicago, IL), Administrative Director of the Southeastern Music Center (Columbus, GA), and Director of the Creative Arts Program of Shenandoah Conservatory (Winchester, VA). She is the recipient of the Artist Diploma in Oboe Performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, the Master of Arts degree from the University of Iowa and the Bachelor of Music Education from Eastern Michigan University.
