Dear Students, Autumn is definitely upon us! The leaves are changing, the nights are cooler, and there is a crispness in the air as we approach Thanksgiving. This issue of “Let’s Talk Trash” is all about learning! Henry Ford, Founder of the Ford Motor Company, said, “Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty.” I don’t know about you, but I enjoy learning new things every day. I even had a desk calendar with one amazing fact about the world every day. I encourage you to remember some of the facts that are in this issue, and then you can amaze your parents with your new knowledge! One fact about our school system; Did you know we have OVER 11,500 students in Robertson County Schools? You are one of them, but you are special. You may not have a tongue that can lick the inside of your ear like a giraffe (see page 11 and gross!), but you have abilities, skills, and knowledge that others don’t have. You are unique, and I am glad you are part of our school family. In this time of Thanksgiving, I am thankful for you. Dr. Chris J.
