Total POS Solutions

ADVERTORIAL

12 months ago, The Shoreline Hotel reached out to Tasmanian business, Total POS Solutions, seeking a better option for their diverse point- of-sale needs. “The issue we are having is just the total lack of support.” Total POS Solutions offered their services, including local and, where needed, onsite support. The Shoreline Hotel is a local institution that has been operating since 1966. For more than 50 years, the venue has offered a space for a range of patrons providing live music, food, drinks, and accommodation. Finding the right solution for such a diverse venue took careful consideration and planning to ensure it met the needs of the bottleshop, sports bar, dining room, cafe, lounge, terrace, and accommodation parts of the business. “We need the POS to work for our bottle shop; otherwise, it doesn’t matter how great it is for the rest of the venue, it will not work.” A suitable solution for the bottle shop was integral to deciding on the best software option.

Australia’s SwiftPOS won against competitors with its ability to integrate with wholesale liquor suppliers. Total POS Solutions managed the implementation and ongoing support as the local SwiftPOS partners in Tasmania. Director of Total POS Solutions, Kerry Johnson, said that this project was challenging, as Shoreline trades seven days a week, until 11pm. This meant there was only a tiny window for the Total POS team to roll out the new solution before trading restarted the following day at 10am. This flexibility around clients’ needs and access to the most suitable software providers make Total POS Solutions the preferred supplier to a range of businesses across hospitality, tourism, sports, retail and events. The project’s final stage has been to introduce facilities that allow patrons to order from their table while in Shoreline’s terrace dining area - making it even easier for you to get your Shoreline fix. Congratulations are also in order, as The Shoreline Hotel recently won the major award for Hotel/Pub Tavern of the Year – Metro at the THA Awards for Excellence! Well done to everyone involved.
