“AIR SERBIA PREVIOUSLY OPE- RATED FLIGHTS TO SARDINIA AND MYKONOS IN COOPERA- TION WITH PARTNER TRAVEL AGENCIES. These were charter fli- ghts, while now the conditions ha- ve been created for us to implement scheduled flights to these two popu- lar destinations during the summer season. Passengers will thus have an opportunity to independently plan their stay on two of the most popu- lar islands in Italy and Greece, and to reach them much quicker and ea- sier. We are additionally reintrodu- cing direct flights to Florence, which will become our tenth destination in Italy. We are confident that all three destinations will attract the attenti- on of passengers and that we’ll have a high cabin load factor on these fli- ghts over the summer season,” said Boško Rupić, Air Serbia General Ma- nager, Commercial and Strategy. SARDINIA A scheduled service between Belgrade and the Sardinian city of Alghero will launch on 10 th June 2025 and operate every Tuesday and Fri- day throughout the entire summer season. Alghero is one of this Italian
island’s liveliest cities. You will fall in love with the picturesque old town, traditional port and sprawling bea- ches of this former Catalan encla- ve. Don’t be surprised that the ol- der residents of the city still speak the Catalan dialect of Algherese and that, in addition to the flags of Sar- dinia, Italy, and the European Uni- on, the Catalan flag also flies above the town hall. This culture can be felt throughout the city, which is why it’s not surprising that locals affectiona- tely refer to it as “Barceloneta” or “li- ttle Barcelona”. Alghero is also known for its coral reefs and lobster fishing, which once formed the backbone of the city's industry. You can still find coral in many jewellers’ shops, where it is used to create jewellery. MYKONOS As of 6 th June 2025, Air Serbia passengers will have an opportunity to fly between Belgrade and Myko- nos every Monday and Friday. Often referred to as the “Island of Winds”, Mykonos is located at the heart of the Cyclades group of islands. Des- pite being extremely cosmopolitan, this island is also traditional. Intertwi- ning in this one place you’ll find luxu-
rious hotels and cobblestone streets with whitewashed houses, village chapels and numerous windmills. The island is bathed in sunlight thro- ughout the day, while in the evenin- gs the doors open to numerous bars and clubs where unforgettable me- mories are made. FLORENCE Air Serbia will operate flights between Belgrade and Florence from 18 th April 2025, every Mon- day and Friday. As the administra- tive centre of Tuscany, in the cen- tral part of Italy, Florence is the birthplace of the Italian Renai- ssance and is still filled with indu- stry, crafts, commerce, culture, art and science. The city’s most popu- lar locations are the Duomo Cathe- dral, the Baptistery, Uffizi Gallery, the National Museum of San Salvi and the Academy Gallery. Surrou- nded by rolling hills, vineyards and olive groves, Florence is packed wi- th cobblestone streets, sophistica- ted palaces and museums housing masterpieces of Italy’s greatest ar- tists. Florence is today also one of the centres of world fashion.
