T op fashion houses might not always con- cur on the look of the prototype footwear that will mark the season, but this time around the message was unequivocal: tall, fiercely good boots are desirable in all lux- urious versions. So, let’s check out the best from the shows and ways to combine them. At Prada’s Autumn 2024 show, this fashion house combined delicate and romantic pieces, such as linge- rie-inspired dresses, with eye-catching accessories like its tall boots: thick leather, rigid forms, rounded toed GREAT STRIDES IN 2025 Be a puss in boots Chanel quilted boots, Fendi musketeers or Valentino biker boots? and with wide rubber heels. In this way, Miuccia Prada revealed a valuable style se- cret: combining such boots with ultra-feminine pieces creates the perfect balance. Pier Paolo Piccio- li made his leave from Valentino with a collec- tion devoted entirely to black, and alongside the most elegant pieces pre- sented his own version of high boots for this season - inspired by biker boots, with square tops and met- al rings on the side. Hermès demonstrat- ed the unsurpassed qual- ity of its materials through the creation of tall boots with rubber soles and wide heels, combined with skirts and coats.
