Boucle: Knitted or woven fabric with characteristic looped or knotted surface that often provides a soft textural hand. Term also applies to a variety of looped, curled or slubbed yarns. Epingle: A silk, rayon, or worsted clothing fabric in plain weave characterized by alternating wide and narrow cross ribs. Crepe Weave: A weave that has a random distribution of floats that produces an all-over pebbled effect, so disguising the weave repeat. Slub Yarn: A type of yarn that is irregular in diameter. The result is that when the fabric is woven, the thick spots, called slubs, form a random pattern in the material, often with a very pleasing effect. Chenille: Chenille, the French word for caterpillar, is typically used to describe yarn manufactured by piles wrapped around a tightly wound core, yielding a fuzzy yarn with a structure similar to a pipe cleaner. This gives the fabric a plush pile surface. Prop 65 Compliant: Proposition 65 requires companies to provide warnings to Californians about significant exposures to harmful chemicals. CA Prop 65 restricts more than 800 chemicals and heavy metals in consumer products, for example, textiles containing excessive amounts of phthalates, lead, and cadmium. HPD: Health Product Declarations (HPDs) provide a full disclosure of the potential chemicals of concern in products by comparing product ingredients to a set of priority “hazard” lists based on the Green Screen for Safer Chemicals and additional lists from other government agencies. HPDs qualify for numerous green building schemes, including LEED v4, WELL, Google Portico, and Living Product Challenge. EPD: Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) signal a manufacturer’s commitment to measuring and reducing the environmental impact of its products and services and report these impacts in a hyper-transparent way. CA 01350: An environmental standard developed by the state of California to evaluate and reduce the impact of building materials on indoor air quality. It establishes procedures for collecting samples, testing emissions as well as the required documentation to disclose VOC emissions. PFC/ PFOA Free: All stain repellent finishes used in textiles are based on fluorotelomer chemistry – which means it pertains to chemicals that become perfluorocarbons (PFCs) when they are released into the environment. PFC’s break down in the body and in the environment to perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA). These are among the most persistent synthetic chemicals known to man, and they do not decompose in nature. CA-AB 2998: Californian bill AB-2998, which prohibits the sale of new juvenile products, mattresses and upholstered furniture that contains specified flame retardants. REACH Compliant: REACH is a European Community Regulation on chemicals and their safe use. It deals with the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemical substances. York Defender Premier Antimicrobial Finish: Antimicrobial additives that enable the product to be resistant to odor and stain causing bacteria, fungus, mold and mildew. Assure Surface Protection: A protective treatment that is featured on Vantage II and III that offers enhanced surface durability.

ACTION ITEMS

Hospitality Cradle Our hospitality textile collection will continue to expand with future launches. Recognizing that our current hospitality/Loomsource cradle will not be able to support additional launches, we have made the decision that a second Momentum hospitality is warranted to maximize our sales opportunities. Please connect with your ISA agent to order the second cradle and accompanying hospitality cradle tag. Order details and recommended card placement is as below: • 08990986 – Empty LoomSource (Momentum Hospitality) Cradle • 08998125 – Hospitality Tags • Products between the two cradles should be split by alpha: Cradle 1 (A-M) + Cradle 2 (M-Z) or as you see fit. Your sales director will be able to assist with concerns or possible strategies around placing a second cradle in a library that may not have additional shelf space.
