the director is Dr. Herbert G. Tovey, head of the Department of Music at Biola. Their ministry has but one purpose: to challenge young people to surrender their lives to the Lord for His service. Their ¡itinerary has included many Youth for Christ ral­ lies and union church services. Dur­ ing the school term, the Biola Chor­ isters will be available for services in Southern California. At the Eas­ ter holidays, they plan another sing­ ing tour in the San Joaquin Valley. Free Bible Course A very fine Bible correspondence course is currently offered over the Bible Institute Hour. It includes twelve lessons on fundamental Bible subjects, the purpose of which is to encourage the students themselves to discover the answers to their ques­ tions from the Scriptures. In response to many urgent invita­ tions, Dr. Louis T. Talbot, president of the Bible Institute of Los Angeles, and pastor of the Church of the Open Door, will leave by Clipper plane early this month to visit the land of his birth, Australia. Dr. Tal­ bot will remain in the land “down under" for about six weeks, visiting relatives, and holding meetings. Dur­ ing his absence, the pulpit of the Church of the Open Door will be oc­ cupied by Dr. P. W. Philpott, well- known Bible teacher, and former pastor of the church. Radio Choir Tours The singing group heard regularly over the Mutual Broadcasting Sys­ tem recently made a sacred concert tour along the Pacific Coast, with very encouraging results. Known as the Biola Choristers, this chorus is composed of missionary students of the Bible Institute of Los Angeles;
