Helios To Partner With Kiwiplan

The company plans to acquire and install by the spring of 2022 an Engico Jumbo Flexo Folder Gluer from Haire Group that converts corrugated scored sheets into box- es. The three color, 188-inch machine offers flexibility with 66-inch and 99-inch die cut cylinders and will be the third jumbo press in Greif’s CorrChoice sheet feeder network. This investment enables Greif to continue its growth with new and existing strategic customers throughout the southeastern United States while enhancing customer ser- vice through diminished lead times. The expansion is also expected to create up to 30 new jobs in Cabarrus County where the CorrChoice – Concord sheet feeder is located. With approximately 250 locations across the globe, Greif employs approximately 16,000 colleagues in more than 40 countries. In fiscal year 2020, the company gener- ated more than $4.5 billion in net sales.

Glen Arm, Maryland based Helios, the new AI and Machine Learning platform by SUN Automation Group tailored spe- cifically to the corrugated converting industry, has entered into a key partnership with Kiwiplan, one of the corrugated industry’s software solutions provider. Both organizations will be showcasing their latest technologies at SuperCorr- Expo August 9-12 in Orlando, Florida. Helios will be ex- hibiting in Booth #1931 and Kiwiplan will be exhibiting in Booth #1845 “By partnering with Kiwiplan, Helios’ solution becomes even more powerful,” said Matthew Miller, SUN Automa- tion Group and Helios. “Bigger data leads to better deci- sions, and that’s what this partnership means for corrugat- ed customers around the world.” The collaboration between Helios and Kiwiplan will al- low customers to: • Reduce production bottlenecks and unplanned down- time • Optimize box plant productivity • Increase asset utilization • Optimize maintenance intervals and costs • Automate parts orders
