Reddy Care also offers Occupat ional Therapy to our patients, to determine if you are in need of Occupational Therapy (OT) at Reddy Care, please careful ly read the fol lowing: 1. OTs provide upper extremi ty (and f ine motor) rehab for a pat ient that PT is treat ing for lower extremi ty issues. 2. OTs provide exercises to improve endurance, func t i ona l ac t i v i t y to l e rance and s t and i ng tolerance. 3. I f there is a balance def ici t , OT can cont inue balance t raining, and st rategies in the home setting whi le doing ADLs (activities of dai ly l iving). 4. OTs educate pat ients and caregivers on fal l prevention techniques and make recommendations to increase safety in the home and communi ty. 5. OTs provide transfer training to the tub, car, bed and bed mobi l i ty.
6. DME (durab l e med i ca l equ i pment ) shower equipment , grab bar placement , commodes , adap t i ve equ i pmen t e t c , and whee l cha i r recommendat ions. 7. Bas i c ADLs and communi ty sk i l l s inc luding funct ional mobi l i ty, i .e. negot iat ing obstacles dur ing ambulat ion. 8. Cogni t ive rehab including strategies to manage meds, Home exercise programs ADLs and dai ly rout ine.
