The Garden of the Gods is a natural landmark a the foot of Pike’s Peak in Colorado. It is known for towering red rocks that are a marvel to see. Named by Rufus Cable, a surveyor, when he first saw them he proclaimed, “a fit place for the Gods to assemble!” Walking around the place anyone would think each separate outcropping could be considered something titanic, a God. I found it odd in America, where most of the people believe in one God that this place achieved a name more akin to the Hindus. But, I guess it is all in jest. A harmless name for a stunning natural setting. When I was drawing I was looking for figures in the rocks. I found a few. See if you can if you can see the Indian Head, the Bear, and the Wolf. - Shoosty
