Treatment Spotlight: Pelvic Health Dr. Jada-Nicole Goodson, DPT Physical Therapist, Pelvic Floor and Women’s Health Specialist Our Physical Therapists Specializing in Pelvic Health for All Genders

Dr. Jada-Nicole Goodson received a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2018 and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2022 from Temple University. While in graduate school, Jada learned about
health through the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) in order to evaluate and treat common pelvic health disorders such as chronic pelvic pain, urinary and fecal incontinence, prenatal and post-partum conditions, post cesarean section pain, pelvic organ prolapse, painful intercourse, bowel dysfunction, abdominal pain, endometriosis, painful bladder syndrome, interstitial cystitis, coccyx pain, low back pain, diastasis recti and much more! Dr. Buzik found her passion for physical therapy through her athletic career in gymnastics. She was on the USA gymnastics team in her younger years, has competed nationally and suffered from many injuries herself. Her passion for pelvic floor physical therapy arose when her family and friends were suffering from postpartum pelvic floor disorders. She quickly realized how commonly pelvic floor disorders and women’s health issues are overlooked, underdiagnosed and how difficult it was to find a qualified provider. In her free time, she is a cat mom and enjoys hot yoga, hiking, snowboarding, boating, wakeboarding, and riding her motorcycle.

There she also developed a strong interest in the physical therapist approach to treating pelvic health diagnoses and saw this speciality as an opportunity to best serve an underserved community. Dr. Goodson has since completed several pelvic health continuing education courses and has guided hundreds of women through their journey of obtaining expanded knowledge of what it means to have a healthy pelvic floor. Dr. Goodson has served on the North Broad Physical Therapy Clinic board as the Community Outreach Coordinator. In March of 2021 she co-founded the Student Physical Therapists of Color Consortium as a space for students of color to share and learn from student experiences, inspire networking opportunities, and collaborate on initiatives to support the representation and involvement of SPTs of color. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family, weight lifting, and exploring Philadelphia’s unique food scene.
