CIPP Payroll: need to know - 2022-23

`The Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals

News On Line

“As my predecessors have in previous years, I am pleased to support the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals’ (CIPP) annual National Payroll Week. Payroll professionals play a very positive role in supporting the UK economy by collecting tax and National Insurance contributions. I recognise the important role played by payroll professionals across the country during the pandemic and I am grateful to CIPP for working with HMRC, members and the entire payroll community to support the successful implementation of the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme.

National Payroll Week is a great opportunity to celebrate the impact of the payroll industry, raise awareness of payroll issues and educate employers on the benefit of good payroll management. I would actively encourage all interested parties to take advantage of the advice and resources offered by the CIPP.”

It is fantastic that National Payroll Week 2022 is being recognised and supported by Treasury.

The Payroll Pages: our weekly LinkedIn newsletter Published: 20 September 2022 Emailed: 21 September 2022

The CIPP policy team are always looking for more ways to keep the payroll profession informed. Social media has become a huge tool for organisations to spread messages and the CIPP is no different. We post our new stories, advertise and get feedback from a range of different social media sites.

LinkedIn allows us to post a weekly newsletter, every Friday. It is with great pleasure that we introduce: The Payroll Pages.

Being on LinkedIn, this will be available to everyone, so please share with your payroll professional friends and colleagues. This way we can share as much payroll knowledge as possible, as widely as possible.

Look out for this weeks’ issue which will look at the changes announced in the “mini - budget” on Friday. We will explore how the changes will affect the profession and what you need to be aware of in the short term.
