Quick Poll results: how do you operate your payroll? Published: 22 November 2022 Emailed: 23 November 2022
The CIPP caters to members all across the UK working in many different capacities. With Quick Polls, the policy team likes to check the pulse of payroll issues and opinions, but also keeping up with our members and their demographics.
The last Quick Poll asked: “How do you operate your payroll?” and here are the results:
Operated in house – 63% Operated on an outsourced basis – 23% We're / I'm a payroll service provider – 14%
The largest group being in-house payroll professionals does not come as a surprise. A result of 14% for payroll service providers is roughly in line with the responses received for our Benchmarking Report 2022 (keep an eye out for this being released soon). We would always like more input from payroll service providers, your feedback can be invaluable for the government calls for evidence and consultations that the CIPP routinely respond to. For this reason, we are revitalising the payroll services specialist interest group (SIG) to get that valuable data. If you are a member working in payroll services, keep an eye out for more information in the SIG area of your MyCIPP account, or email mathew.akrigg@cipp.org.uk to register your interest. More information on future events will be published in due course.
Thank you to all respondents for your input, it really does help us.
