Ceremonies with the Isle of Wight registrars As well as having a civil marriage or partnership in the register o’ce there are a number of approved premises on the Island. These premises are licenced by the Isle of Wight Council, under the Marriage Act 1994 and the Civil Partnership Act 2004, to hold civil marriage ceremonies and civil partnership ceremonies. You could choose to have a sea view, beautiful grounds, or a village setting. The choice is yours and you can be assured of our assistance throughout. If you have your heart set on a venue that is not one of our approved premises, we can still provide you with your special day. You will be required to hold your legal civil ceremony within the register o’ce. And we will provide you with a specially crafted non-legal commitment ceremony. We also oer renewal of vows and baby naming or welcoming ceremonies. But we are unable to perform religious ceremonies. Please contact the Isle of Wight Registrars for more information on this.
