A WELL-ESTABLISHED INDUSTRY TRADITION, THE EVENT WAS HELD AT NEWLANDS GOLF CLUB ON AUGUST 28 AND WELL SUPPORTED BY CURRENT AND RETIRED MEMBERS OF THE ASSOCIATION… M&ECA hosts its annual golf outing
M&ECA members, including Director General Hubert Fitzpatrick, with invited guests.
For decades, the annual Mechanical & Electrical Contractors’ Association (M&ECA) Golf Outing has been a highly anticipated event in members’ calendars. Formerly known as the MEBSCA Golf Outing, the event remains strongly supported due to its blend of industry tradition with a competitive sporting spirit and sense of camaraderie. Held within the spectacular surrounds of Newlands Golf Club on August 28, the outing was organised by M&ECA in coordination with Des Binley, a retired member of MEBSCA and unwavering supporter of the event for many years. Following the action on the fairways, members and retired association
members attending as invited guests, enjoyed an evening meal and prizegiving in the Newlands clubhouse. M&ECA President Paul Nicholls thanked everyone taking part on the day and congratulated the 2025 winners, including overall President’s prize recipient Pat Murphy of Jones Engineering with 42 points. Aidan Crean, who joined Dornan Group on the day, was awarded first prize, with Kevin Roche representing Leo Lynch the runner up, and Damien Brennan of Kirby Group securing Nearest the Pin.
