THE CO TYRONE-BASED MANUFACTURER OF HIGH-QUALITY SWITCHGEAR AND AUTOMATED CONTROL SYSTEMS IS PREPARING TO INCREASE ITS WORKFORCE BY 30% OVER THE NEXT 12 MONTHS... Approaching the future with Precision
With a bold rebrand and strategic growth plan now underway, Co Tyrone- based Precision is accelerating into its next phase of development - backed by strengthened partnerships, global expansion and a commitment to technical excellence. The Dungannon-based manufacturer of high-quality switchgear and automated control systems is preparing to increase its workforce by 30% over the next 12 months as it continues to secure major projects across the UK, Ireland, Europe and the US. A STRATEGIC REBRAND FOR A GLOBAL FUTURE Earlier this year, the company rebranded from Precision Switchgear & Controls to Precision, reflecting a sharpened identity and global outlook. Michael Connolly, Sales Director, says, “The rebrand aligns with our strategy to position Precision as a global technology partner rather than a local supplier.
Dropping Switchgear & Controls is a confident move, but our brand already holds weight in the market. The new ‘P’ower logo strengthens our identity and will be central to future campaigns.” The rebrand follows a year-long Invest NI leadership programme completed by Michael, Managing Director Peter McKearney and General Manager Paul Carolan, establishing a clear roadmap for Precision’s growth, culture and capability development. DEEPENING PARTNERSHIPS ACROSS THE VALUE CHAIN A core feature of Precision’s strategy is its partnership-led approach - both with clients and its supply chain. The business places strong importance on early engagement, technical clarity and aligned delivery throughout the project lifecycle. “We don’t operate as a transactional supplier,” says Michael. “We build long- term partnerships. By engaging early in
the specification and design stage, we help clients select the right, compliant and future-ready solution for their project. Our responsibility is to guide them with technical accuracy, not just provide hardware.” This advisory approach is increasingly valued in mission-critical sectors where reliability, safety and regulatory compliance sit at the forefront. Precision also works closely with its strategic supply chain - including market-leading technology providers - to ensure access to the latest innovation, component availability, training and regulatory updates. This collaboration allows Precision to deliver with speed, consistency and confidence across multiple markets.
