It’s been a busy end to 2025 for critical power specialist Riello UPS Ireland following the recent appointment of Ian Jackson as its new managing director, along with a move to expanded office space. Now the company is keen to kickstart its next phase of growth by tapping into additional verticals and building on its already impressive maintenance and service offering. Since launching in November 2022 as the 17th subsidiary of the Italian headquartered RPS SpA, the second- largest manufacturer of uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) in Europe, Riello
UPS Ireland has quickly established itself in the Irish critical power sector. Offering the manufacturer’s comprehensive product portfolio from 400VA up to 6.4MVA, the company provides proven standby power solutions for everything from home entertainment devices and domestic IT networks through to the latest data centre supercomputers and servers or highly-advanced manufacturing and telecoms equipment. NEW LEADERSHIP & ENHANCED FACILITIES Riello UPS Ireland’s already vastly experienced and knowledgeable team was
bolstered in July with the appointment of Ian Jackson as its new managing director. Ian brings more than 25 years of commercial, technical and management experience in the critical power industry, including nearly 20 years managing Pure Power Systems, an independent UPS distributor he founded and successfully scaled until its acquisition by a US multinational company in 2017. He also holds a Degree in Electrical Engineering from TU Dublin, a Postgraduate Certificate in Energy Systems and Decarbonisation from Dublin City University and an MBA from Dublin City University Business School.
