THE MOIRA-BASED MANUFACTURER SUPPLIES ITS ACCESSIBLE SHOWERING SOLUTIONS COMBINING FUNCTIONALITY WITH STYLE TO MARKETS ACROSS THE UK, IRELAND AND CONTINENTAL EUROPE… Easa Group celebrates 25 years of trading

A quarter of a century after its launch as a small manufacturer of accessible showering solutions for the Northern Ireland market, Easa Group Limited is a thriving business supplying merchants and contractors across the UK, Ireland and continental Europe. Easa’s shower doors, cubicles and trays, available in standard and bespoke configurations, are all designed, manufactured and shipped from its Moira factory. Key to Easa’s success has been spotting a gap in the market for products which are high quality, functional and aesthetically pleasing, creating spaces evocative of family bathrooms rather than hospital or care facilities. Led by Managing Director Nigel Blackburn since 2002, the business has since expanded from four employees to a current team of 25 including 16 manufacturing operatives and nine people working in management, sales and admin roles. Claire Bradley, Commercial Director

of Easa, said, “Celebrating 25 years of innovation and impact, we are incredibly proud of how far we’ve come in improving lives through accessible showering solutions. “This milestone is a testament to the passion, dedication and energy of our amazing team, whose commitment to excellence has been the driving force behind every achievement. “Our heartfelt thanks go out to our wonderful customers and trusted suppliers, who have been with us on this incredible journey. Together, we continue to shape a future where everyone can experience the dignity and comfort they deserve.” Originally supplying its accessible solutions to plumbers’ merchants, bathroom showrooms and contractors exclusively in the Northern Ireland market, Easa’s first big breakthrough was gaining access to the Republic of Ireland market. “After that, it was the realisation that the marketplace was dominated by products that were very clinical and made a family

bathroom look like a care home bathroom,” said Claire. “A lot of time and effort was put into new product design.

“Our solutions still had to offer the functionality required for assisted

showering and ensure that we’re protecting not only the person who needs assistance but also the person providing the assistance. We also focused on making our products more aesthetically pleasing to look like a family bathroom rather than a hospital bathroom. “We offer a very well-designed, high- quality showering solution that focuses on the functionality required for assisted bathing but also the need to provide a safe environment for people in the shower, including those living with dementia. Our designs aim to reduce the confusion that can result in anxiety during showering.” Having launched new ranges combining style with functionality, Easa next gained access to markets in Scotland, England and then France. “We’re in France 14 years now,” said Claire.
