Impact story - Audemars Piguet 2022 Activating their value chain since
APPROACH Audemars Piguet affirms its role as a pioneer in sustainability by engaging its suppliers in a process of continuous improvement aimed at reducing its carbon footprint, primarily originating from Scope 3 emissions. In this context, the Maison is participating in the Value Chain Activation (VCA) program of the Swiss Triple Impact (STI) initiative. Through the VCA, Audemars Piguet invited suppliers to join a shared sus- tainability journey. Workshops guided by B Lab Switzerland helped iden- tify material topics, define tangible commitments, and encourage exchange among peers. This process was reinforced by collective tools such as a shared Code of Conduct, supplier audits, and joint initiatives on tracea- bility and decarbonization. In parallel, AP advanced its Human Rights Due Diligence and Climate strate- gies by mapping sensitive materials, improving ethical compliance through audits, and joining the SBTi to strengthen its decarbonisation pathway.
MOBILIZING THE WATCHMAKING VALUE CHAIN FOR COLLECTIVE IMPACT Audemars Piguet, the Swiss Haute Horlogerie manufacturer, recognized that achieving meaningful progress on sustainability—whether in res- ponsible labor practices, carbon reduction, or circularity—required enga- ging the entire ecosystem it relies on. With over 97% of its emissions and much of its ethical risk embedded in its supply chain, the company set out to activate its suppliers through meaningful collaboration, moving beyond a compliance-only approach.
