BOILERS

SEAN KELEHER, NATIONAL TECHNICAL MANAGER FOR NAVIEN, DISCUSSES HOW ITS AWARD-WINNING RANGE OF NEXT-GENERATION BOILERS HAS OPENED THE DOORS TO A NEW CATEGORY OF PRODUCT, THE COMBI CROSSOVER… Navien’s Combi Crossover reinvents what is possible for hot water comfort

A fter nearly a decade of trading in the UK and fuelled by its commitment to addressing the industry’s need for future-proofed boiler technologies, Navien launched its NCB ON range of boilers to provide installers with the option of delivering consistently hot water in larger homes, without a cylinder. A FRESH APPROACH TO HOME HEATING Traditionally, combi boilers have been unsuitable for larger multi-occupancy properties, as they are often unable to provide enough hot water for the entire household – a problem that has always been resolved through bulky cylinders. With Navien’s ON technology, we have broken the mould by delivering a combi boiler without the cylinder, the slow heat-up times, or the low flow rates. Backed by the efficiency and intelligence of Navien’s pioneering technology and expert technical support, the NCB ON range of high-performance system boilers also offers up to a 12-year warranty. The NCB ON range offers rapid hot water and consistent temperatures. The absence of the hot water cylinder makes installations less time-consuming and presents a more cost-effective option for customers. THE NCB ON RANGE Fantastic space-savers, the NCB ON combi boilers are a great offer for customers who would like to create space for additional storage or a small WC. The frustration of showers and taps fluctuating between hot and cold also has become a problem of the past, thanks to state-of-the-art valves and sensors within the boilers. If the water is not hot enough, the water adjusting valve will slow down the flow, so it can be heated up to the required level. If it is too hot, the water mixing valve will

blend in cold water to bring the temperature down to the right level. The NCB700 ON boiler from the range has a built-in secondary circulation pump and comes with a NaviCircTM, designed to halt the secondary

circulation if it senses that the water temperature has gone above 35°C. Navien has also incorporated features to ensure that all components, including the PRV, are easily accessible and identifiable to fix faults quickly. The boilers also feature a keyless filling loop, the NaviFill, an easy method for customers to top up the boiler pressure themselves. NCB700 ON AND NCB500 ON The NCB700 ON is 20% hydrogen-ready and features an ErP A+ rating when used with Navien’s Smart Plus controller. The Combi Crossover has incredible all-round performance and presents an economical choice. The NCB700 ON also boasts flow rates of up to 22 litres per minute, a turn-down ratio of 15:1 and maximised recirculation of domestic hot water (DHW) to reduce

water and energy wastage and deliver instant hot water to several outlets simultaneously. The NCB500 ON can achieve hot water outputs of up to 41kW and boasts an ErP efficiency rating of 93%, which guarantees more affordable home heating.

PRIORITISING HOT WATER PERFORMANCE

As well as bringing new innovative boilers to the UK market, the range embodies Navien’s commitment to revolutionising how the industry thinks about boiler technology and its commitment to the valued merchants and installers by putting quality at its core.
