NEWS
The Future Ready Fuel website, dedicated to OFTEC’s campaign to introduce hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) as an alternative to heating oil, has been updated to include new pages for Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Now readers can visit their local pages to find out why OFTEC supports the use of HVO in providing an achievable path to net zero and why it believes electrification isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution. The pages also feature the latest fuel industry news in both areas. Find out more about the constraints in Northern Ireland for heat pumps and why renewable liquid fuels are needed in the Republic, among other interesting debates on lowering emissions on both sides of the border. The pages also feature a direct link to find local TDs and MLAs, and downloadable letter templates to get in touch with them regarding green heating solutions such as HVO.
